<p>We are supporting a hospitality investment and asset management group in Oman with the appointment of a <strong>Technical Asset Manager</strong>.</p><br>
<p>This is an excellent opportunity for a technical hospitality professional to join an owner-side asset management function and support the maintenance, condition, technical performance, and long-term value of a hotel portfolio.</p><br>
<p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p><br>
<p>The Technical Asset Manager will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling maintenance, facilities operations, and technical asset management activities across operating hotel assets and shareholder properties.</p><br>
<p>The role will work closely with hotel operators, General Managers, engineering teams, consultants, contractors, service providers, specialist vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure that hotel assets are well maintained, compliant, cost-controlled, and aligned with ownership objectives.</p><br>
<p>This is a portfolio-level technical asset management role. The successful candidate will support CAPEX planning, Property Improvement Plans, asset condition reviews, lifecycle maintenance planning, contractor performance, technical reporting, and operational readiness across existing assets, renovations, handovers, and hotel pre-opening or transition phases.</p><br>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><br>

<p><b>Job purpose</b></p><p><br></p><p>Provide technical safety engineering support across OQEP's project delivery activities, ensuring that technical safety requirements are identified, assessed, and incorporated into project designs, engineering documents, and operational philosophies in compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and OQEP's HSSE framework.</p><p><br></p><p> </p><p><br></p><p>The position will act in accordance with the OQEP’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines, and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, QHSE & Energy Management System requirements standards, Omani’s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Main Tasks and Responsibilities</b></p><p><br></p><p>Support the execution of technical safety engineering activities across OQEP's project delivery portfolio, ensuring compliance with applicable international standards, codes, and OQEP's engineering specifications.</p><p>Participate in and contribute to hazard identification and risk assessment studies including HAZID, HAZOP, What-If analyses, and Bow-Tie analyses for projects and operational facilities.</p><p>Support the development and review of technical safety deliverables including Safety Concept documents, Fire & Gas Philosophy, Escape, Evacuation & Rescue (EER) Philosophy, and Safety Instrumented System (SIS) documentation.</p><p>Perform quantitative and qualitative risk assessments including consequence modelling, dispersion analysis, fire and explosion modelling using industry-standard tools (e.g., PHAST, Safeti, or equivalent).</p><p>Review engineering design documents, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, and layout drawings from a technical safety perspective, identifying hazards and recommending design modifications to reduce risk to ALARP.</p><p>Support the development and maintenance of Safety Cases and Major Accident Hazard (MAH) registers for OQEP's operated facilities and projects.</p><p>Contribute to the specification, design review, and testing of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Fire & Gas detection systems in accordance with IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 standards.</p><p>Participate in pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed design technical safety reviews, ensuring technical safety requirements are addressed at each project phase.</p><p>Support the preparation and review of technical safety documentation for regulatory submissions and engineering authority approvals.</p><p>Liaise with project engineers, discipline leads, contractors, and vendors on technical safety matters throughout the project lifecycle.</p><p>Support post-incident investigations and safety performance reviews, contributing technical safety expertise to root cause analysis and lessons-learned processes.</p><p>Maintain accurate technical safety documentation including risk registers, study reports, and engineering assessments.</p><p>Stay current with developments in technical safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices, and recommend updates to OQEP's engineering guidelines accordingly.</p><p>Actively participate in, contribute to, and promote OQEP's occupational health, safety, security, and environment culture.</p><p>Perform other related duties as assigned.</p><p>Key interactions</p><p><br></p><p>Internal: Projects Delivery function, HSSE function, Operations function, Engineering disciplines within Operated Assets, Maintenance function.</p><p><br></p><p>External: Engineering contractors and consultants, specialist technical safety consultants, equipment vendors, third-party inspection and certification bodies, regulatory authorities.</p><p><br></p><p>Notable Working Conditions. <p>The Fuels Manager (FM)/Alternate Site Manager (ASM) provides leadership and guidance to fuels department personnel. Responsible for the overall program management of fuels assets. Manages asset receipts, accountability, serviceability, storage, security, periodic inspections, and deployment. Establishes asset reconstitution production schedules to meet United States Air Forces Central (USAFCENT) requirements. Reviews asset reconstitution production, periodic maintenance, and inventory reports to ensure timely and accurate submissions to USAFCENT A4/RF. Provides guidance on environmental issues as they relate to fuel assets. Responsible for program quality assurance as part of ISO 9000 standards. The ASM portion of the position coordinates and oversees the day-to-day operations, maintenance, personnel, and services at assigned location ensuring quality to the customer as directed by Site Manager.</p>
<h4>Job duties & responsibilities</h4>
<ul>
<li>Primary liaison between Amentum sites and USAFCENT on issues pertaining to fuels.</li>
<li>Oversees reconstitution and preservation plan for fuels based upon requirements and the Performance Work Statement (PWS), including calibration of meters, gauges and tools, functional testing of pumping systems, and hydrostatic testing of fuel hoses.</li>
<li>Tracks fuels deployments, ensuring timely delivery of assets.</li>
<li>Answers inquiries from program management and sites concerning various requests from the USAF and external agencies.</li>
<li>Attends staff meetings and provides management reports and briefings, as required.</li>
<li>Provides assistance, guidance, and coordination on revisions of fuels maintenance actions in response to changes in Air Force publications, technical orders, and the PWS.</li>
<li>Oversees product quality deficiency reports from submission to resolution.</li>
<li>Creates, coordinates, implements, and revises fuels standard operating procedures, work instructions, and training plans, as required.</li>

<li>The Fuels Manager shall have a minimum of six (6) years of specialized experience in fuels hydrant operations and maintenance of bulk petroleum storage terminals.</li>
<li>The FM/ASM shall have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in logistics, project management, operations management or facilities management/maintenance field.</li>
<li>As a minimum, the Fuels OM&R Manager shall have two (2) years of supervisory experience in fuel hydrants operations with emphasis in operations and environmental compliance.</li>
<li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.</li>
<li>Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.</li>
