Identify high-risk pregnancies and promptly escalate complications to the obstetrician. Provide immediate care to newborns after delivery, including initial assessment and support. Assist with emergency obstetric procedures and management of complications. Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and treatments safely. Provide postnatal care, including monitoring maternal recovery and newborn health. Educate mothers on breastfeeding, newborn care, nutrition, hygiene, and postpartum recovery. Support mothers with breastfeeding techniques and early mother baby bonding. Maintain accurate maternal and neonatal records and delivery documentation. Maintain strict infection-prevention and patient-safety standards. Provide emotional support and counselling to mothers and families throughout pregnancy and childbirth.
