<p>Provide robust production-engineering expertise to the subsurface development of the Operated Assets Subsurface function, under the direction of the TL Production Engineer BISAT Development, by supporting field-based production activities, planning production, well design, and completion, and applying production-engineering practices to well and reservoir management, well design and completion, and Integrated Production Modelling (IPM), in order to optimise well and field performance and support the safe, reliable, and efficient production of significant oil and gas deposits.</p><p>The position will act in accordance with the OQEP's Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines, and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, QHSE & Energy Management System requirements standards, Omani's government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.</p><p><strong>Main tasks and responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Provide robust technical production-engineering expertise, support, and innovative solutions for the execution of the production-engineering process, ensuring common engineering principles and concepts are applied; may handle a large scope of activities simultaneously and provide guidance to junior engineers and trainees.</li><li>Optimise well production through daily well-surveillance monitoring and troubleshooting of well-performance issues.</li><li>Hold direct responsibility for a range of activities including well surveillance, frac-job design and implementation, well testing, artificial-lift selection and design, completion and workover design and execution, well-intervention proposals, and well-stimulation design and execution.</li><li>Analyse and interpret field information using available engineering tools, making recommendations to optimise production and support field development.</li><li>Contribute to monthly production planning and reservoir-surveillance planning as required.</li><li>Hold direct responsibility for monitoring well failure rates, conducting the required Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), and recommending solutions to reduce such rates.</li><li>Participate in integrated field studies for maturing hydrocarbon resources.</li><li>Evaluate well and reservoir performance and recommend production-improvement opportunities.</li><li>Provide production-engineering input to business planning and well proposals, and participate in the preparation of development plans and optimisation studies to maximise project value.</li><li>Work closely with Reservoir Engineers and Geologists to maximise the value of assigned assets.</li><li>Ensure all evaluations are documented and related data is handled in accordance with the Company's Data Management Standards.</li><li>Work safely and proactively promote the Company's occupational health, safety, security, and environment culture, ensuring compliance with HSE and process-safety requirements and participating in HSE programs.</li><li>Fulfil stand-by / on-call duties when required.</li><li>Perform other similar duties as assigned by the TL Production Engineer BISAT Development.</li></ul><p><strong>Key interactions</strong></p><ul><li>Internal: TL Production Engineer BISAT Development and the Subsurface & Operation 60&48 team, and enabling functions (Reservoir Engineering, Geoscience, Well Delivery, Operations, Facilities, and HSSE).</li><li>External: Contractors, service providers, and technical consultants; OQ Group (parent-company interfaces, as applicable).</li></ul><p><strong>Notable Working Conditions</strong></p><p>Combination of field operational environment and office-based technical work; regular presence at well sites and operating facilities to support well surveillance, production troubleshooting, well interventions, stimulation, workover activities, and production optimisation. The ARISE Program is a USD 100 million initiative spanning six years, designed to deliver climate action, ecosystem restoration, and economic growth through Nature-based Solutions (NbS) integrated into the Bioeconomy and Sustainable Special Economic Zones (SSEZs) . The program ultimately targets the restoration of 30,000 hectares of land, an estimated 750,000 tCO2e/year in greenhouse gas emission reductions, and the creation of over 1,000 green jobs. The implementation of the ARISE Program is structured around two phases. Phase 1 will cover 2 years, and Phase 2 will be over 4 years. The funding has been approved for Phase 1.</p><p>PURPOSE The Water Resource Management Officer (Civil Engineer) applies specialized civil engineering concepts under close supervision to support the planning, technical design, and implementation of water resource and related infrastructure under Phase 1 of the project. S/he assists in conducting engineering assessments, preparing technical specifications, drawings, and cost estimates, and ensuring that all infrastructure complies with applicable standards, environmental requirements, and project work plans. <p>INTRODUCTION TO GGGI The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies. In the Sultanate of Oman, GGGI has partnered with the Government through the leadership of the Environment Authority (EA) to develop the "Accelerating Resilience and Innovation for Sustainable Ecosystems management" (ARISE) Program . The ARISE Program is a USD 100 million initiative spanning six years, designed to deliver climate action, ecosystem restoration, and economic growth through Nature-based Solutions (NbS) integrated into the Bioeconomy and Sustainable Special Economic Zones (SSEZs) . The program ultimately targets the restoration of 30,000 hectares of land, an estimated 750,000 tCO2e/year in greenhouse gas emission reductions, and the creation of over 1,000 green jobs. The implementation of the ARISE Program is structured around two phases. Phase 1 will cover 2 years, and Phase 2 will be over 4 years. The funding has been approved for Phase 1.</p><p>POSITION SUMMARY Based in Salalah, in Dhofar Governorate, Oman, the MEL & Data Officer plays a key role as the MEL focal point for the Oman ARISE Program. Reporting directly to the ARISE Program Lead, this position supports the on-the-ground delivery of the multi-year program s results framework. The Officer will work in close collaboration with the Regional MEL Senior Officer for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to implement GGGI s organizational-wide MEL framework at the program level. This role involves coordinating MEL implementation, data collection, analysis, and visualization, learning & reporting following the comprehensive MEL plan for ARISE, including supporting baseline assessments such as Knowledge, Aptitude, and Practices (KAP) surveys and ecological data tracking.
