<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> Purpose: <ul><li>To install HV Cable accessoriesand carry out other associated works. </li></ul> Summary of the Job Role: <ul><li>Install HV cable Joints and terminations  </li></ul> <ul><li>Installation ofLink Boxesand other associated accessories </li></ul> <ul><li>Support during testing of HVcablese.g.installation of test busing andtestadaptoretc. </li></ul> <ul><li>Repair of HV cables </li></ul> <ul><li>Maintenance of tools and other equipment’s </li></ul> <ul><li>This position is designed to be approximately 100% on site; external travel whenrequired.Flexibleapproach to working hours, travel and work location isa must. </li></ul> Key Deliverables: <ul><li>Preparation/readiness of cable and perform necessary checks </li></ul> <ul><li>Installation of HV cable joints as per the mounting instructions ofaccessoryvendor. </li></ul> <ul><li>Installation of Cable sealing end as per the mounting instruction of accessory vendor. </li></ul> <ul><li>Bonding Cable connection and Link Box Installation. </li></ul> <ul><li>Installation ofEarthing cable at joint bay and cable sealing ends </li></ul> <ul><li>SuperviseCablelaying worksat project site. </li></ul> <ul><li>Supervise installation of cable support structures. </li></ul> <ul><li>PD Sensorcableconnections in thejoint/sealing endand PD terminal Box. </li></ul> <ul><li>Provide necessary support during HV cable test bushing and test adaptor installation/dismantling. </li></ul> <ul><li>Provide support during site commissioning tests </li></ul> <ul><li>Repair of HV cable and other associated works. </li></ul> <ul><li>Proper maintenance of cable jointing tools and other machinery which falls under their responsibility.  </li></ul> <ul><li>Purchase consumable items and other associatedmaterial.  </li></ul> <ul><li>SiteProgressreporting to project manager. </li></ul> <ul><li>Maintain the validity of certificatesand inform managementfor renewal in case of expiry. </li></ul> <ul><li>Being able to take safetydocumentor workpermitfromclient. </li></ul> <ul><li>Ensure all processes and procedures are followedatworkingsite. </li></ul> <ul><li>Coordinatewithcustomerproject site staff </li></ul> <ul><li>Ensurestrictcompliance to theaccessoriesmanufacturersmounting instructions. </li></ul> <ul><li>Ensure compliance withproject HSE requirements and safe working practices. </li></ul> Relationships (Internal): <ul><li>Reporting to Project Manager </li></ul> Relationships (External): <ul><li>Customer site coordination </li></ul> Qualifications: <ul><li>Degree/Diplomainrelevantfield </li></ul> <ul><li>Experience certificates </li></ul> <ul><li>Certification inHV Accessories installation </li></ul> <ul><li>First Aid Certificate up to date </li></ul> <ul><li>Basic Electrical Safety </li></ul> Skills/Knowledge: <ul><li>Integrity, loyalty, and discretepersonality. </li></ul> <ul><li>Teamworkand serviceorientation. </li></ul> <ul><li>Strong communicationskills both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively develop comprehensive writtenand presentationmaterial. </li></ul> <ul><li>Time Managementskills. </li></ul> <ul><li>Self-motivated, keen to learn new things and able to workunderdifferent conditions </li></ul> <ul><li>Able to takechallenging and leadingrole </li></ul> Experience: <ul><li>Overall10-15years of experience. </li></ul> <ul><li>At least 2years’ experiencein jointing of 132kV Prysmian’s accessories </li></ul> <ul><li>Work experience in the Middle East ispreferred. </li></ul> Prysmian , as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities. <section>Job DescriptionRoles & Responsibilities<div class="paragraph">Install and fix reinforcement steel bars and mesh as per engineering drawings. Read and interpret reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS). Cut, bend, and tie steel bars according to project specifications. Ensure proper placement and securing of reinforcement before concrete pouring. Follow safety procedures and site regulations at all times. Coordinate with supervisors and construction teams to meet project deadlines.</div></section><section>Desired Candidate Profile<ul><li>Minimum 3 years of experience in steel fixing / steel fitting.</li><li>Ability to read and understand reinforcement drawings and BBS.</li><li>Experience in high-rise building, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects preferred.</li><li>Physically fit and capable of performing construction site duties.</li><li>Knowledge of construction safety standards.</li><li>Willingness to work in Oman and adapt to site requirements.</li><li>ITI / Diploma / Technical Qualification preferred. Relevant construction experience can compensate for formal qualifications.</li></ul></section>
