<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p><strong>Database Administration &amp; Maintenance</strong></p><ul><li><p>Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database systems (versions 8i through 11g) across Linux and MS-Windows environments</p></li><li><p>Monitor database health, performance, and availability on a daily basis</p></li><li><p>Manage database storage, tablespaces, and space allocation proactively</p></li></ul><p><strong>Performance Tuning &amp; Optimization</strong></p><ul><li><p>Perform database tuning and application tuning to ensure optimal query and system performance</p></li><li><p>Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks using Oracle diagnostic tools (AWR, ADDM, ASH)</p></li><li><p>Manage resource allocation, user profiles, and database security configurations</p></li></ul><p><strong>High Availability &amp; Clustering</strong></p><ul><li><p>Administer and maintain active-passive clustering technologies including Windows ClusterServer, Oracle Failsafe, RedHat Cluster Manager, and Oracle Cluster One-Node</p></li><li><p>Ensure database failover readiness and business continuity planning</p></li></ul><p><strong>Data Management &amp; Migration</strong></p><ul><li><p>Plan and execute large-scale data movement, migration, and rollout activities — both online and offline</p></li><li><p>Manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN; ensure regular testing of restore procedures</p></li></ul><p><strong>Security &amp; Compliance</strong></p><ul><li><p>Implement and enforce data privacy, confidentiality, and security controls for patient healthcare and clinical data</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements around sensitive data handling</p></li></ul><p><strong>Collaboration &amp; Support</strong></p><ul><li><p>Work closely with application teams, system administrators, and project managers to support database-related requirements</p></li><li><p>Provide root cause analysis and resolution for database incidents and service requests</p></li><li><p>Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, changes, and procedures</p></li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><ul><li><p>6+ years of Oracle DBA experience covering versions 8i through 11g</p></li><li><p>Worked on active-passive clustering setups (Oracle Failsafe, RedHat Cluster Manager, Oracle Cluster One-Node)</p></li><li><p>Handled end-to-end data migration and rollout projects at scale</p></li><li><p>Strong command over SQL, PL/SQL, RMAN, AWR, ADDM, and ASH</p></li><li><p>A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field</p></li><li><p>Exposure to healthcare/clinical data environments is a strong advantage</p></li></ul><p></p></section>
