<p>The Database Administrator (DBA) role encompasses the administration, management, security, optimization, and continuous operation of OETC's enterprise database environment. It covers all activities related to database planning, implementation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, backup and recovery, performance optimization, capacity management, security, high availability, disaster recovery, and lifecycle management.</p>
<p>The role supports databases used by enterprise applications and business systems, ensuring data integrity, availability, confidentiality, and reliability. It includes database architecture, storage management, database migrations, upgrades, patch management, user access administration, database monitoring, automation, documentation, compliance, and integration with enterprise infrastructure and business applications.</p>
<p>The position also covers database technologies, operational standards, technical governance, business continuity, cybersecurity compliance, performance reporting, and the adoption of best practices to maintain a secure, resilient, and scalable database environment that supports OETC's operational and strategic objectives.</p>
<p>Area of responsibility</p>
<p> Administer, maintain, and support enterprise database environments to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.</p>

<p>MINIMUM EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS</p>
<p>Education:</p>
<p> Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.</p>
<p>Experience:</p>
<p> 3 5 years of experience in Database Administrator</p>
<p>Special Skills & Knowledge: </p>
<p> Strong knowledge of Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, or other enterprise database management systems.</p>
<p> Knowledge of database installation, configuration, administration, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.</p>
<p> Understanding of High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), replication, and database clustering technologies.</p>
<p> Knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, and database scripting.</p>
<p> Knowledge of enterprise backup and recovery solutions.</p>
<p> Familiarity with database security, user access management, encryption, and auditing.</p>

<h4>Partner with the best</h4>
<p>To prepare proposals and bids, contract negotiation, and compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment. Leads the development of business plans for a specific product or product line.</p>
<h4>As a Director of Sales Proposals - Integrated Solutions, you will also be responsible for:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Leading all elements of I&S opportunities through the I&S process, ensuring all stage and decision gate deliverables are met.</li>
<li>Leading the opportunity pursuit, engaging and aligning all stakeholders such as region leadership, commercial operations, I&S leadership, product line teams, technical focal points, contracted party focal points, and Baker Hughes support functions to build a winning strategy for proposals or bids.</li>
<li>Ensuring company processes and procedures are strictly followed, including OFSE sales and commercial principles and, in particular, I&S management system content and tools are applied to every opportunity.</li>
<li>Contributing to the development and adherence of I&S processes to ensure that project risks are correctly documented, evaluated, and mitigated through use of I&S risk management process and tools.</li>
<li>Drafting the initial project plan and all parts thereof, i.e., risk management plan, communications plan, sourcing plan, vendor management plan, early schedule, quality plan, stakeholder matrix, project roles and responsibility matrix (RACI), organizational structure, and construction of the I&S cost model.</li>
<li>Ensuring commercial models accurately reflect the most likely return on investment and profitability of Baker Hughes by working closely with various internal stakeholders.</li>
<li>Providing leadership for negotiations with customers, contracted parties, vendors, and other relevant parties.</li>
<li>Performing contract handover through the use of the service level agreement (SLA) component of the Baker Hughes OFSE commercial and operational framework agreement such as Commercial Operations Framework Agreement (COFA) during project mobilization stage to the project manager and I&S support teams responsible for the project through execution stages.</li>
</ul>

<p>To be successful in this role you will:</p>

<li>Have a bachelor's degree in engineering, commercial, or scientific discipline.</li>
<li>Have 15+ years of relevant oil and gas operator or service company experience.</li>
<li>Have experience leading integrated commercial bids.</li>
<li>Have 5+ years of experience in integrated projects.</li>
<li>Have strong understanding of upstream business environment, including technical and logistical elements.</li>
<li>Have good knowledge of well engineering, well construction, rigs, equipment packages, and technical solutions.</li>
<li>Have excellent leadership, strong interpersonal, influencing, analytical, decision-making, and planning skills.</li>
<li>Have demonstrated ability to work in a global matrix organization.</li>
<li>Have significant knowledge of business plans, project planning, project management methodology, and proposal/bid creation.</li>
</ul>
<h4>Desired characteristics:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Have global experience in delivering proposals in varying and complex commercial and contractual models.</li>
<li>Have strong operational background running integrated projects (project management, engineering roles).</li>
<li>Have experience in managing and leading employees.</li>
<li>Established track record of winning high-value integrated work as an integrated commercial manager, driving commercial strategy, bid excellence, and successful contract awards in the region.</li>
<li>Proven track record in MENAT region like Oman, Kuwait, India, UAE, and KSA.</li>
