<p>This is a predominantly teaching focused position to manage and support delivery of postgraduate, undergraduate, foundation and executive programmes. Applicants should demonstrate excellence in teaching and research. Preference will be given to candidates with administrative experience. <p><br></p> <p><b>Description</b></p> <p> Develop a comprehensive, long-term commissioning strategy specifically for the LDC's critical control systems (EMS, SCADA, and WAMS), ensuring alignment with OETC's broader infrastructure development plans.</p> <p> Provide direct strategic oversight across all testing and commissioning initiatives related to LDC system upgrades, integrations, and new system deployment.</p> <p> Mentor and develop the commissioning and testing team, setting KPIs to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of all control system activities.</p> <p> Serve as the primary technical liaison for commissioning and testing matters with leadership, other department heads (e.g., Engineering, Operations), and external vendors/system integrators.</p> <p> Represent OETC in industry forums and with APSR on issues related to the commissioning and compliance of control and monitoring systems.</p> <p> Resolve high-level conflicts or challenges that arise during complex LDC system projects to ensure timely and effective completion.</p> <p> Establish and implement a risk management framework for the control system commissioning program, including a departmental risk matrix to identify and mitigate potential technical, operational, and safety-related risks.</p> <p> Develop and enforce internal audit and quality assurance protocols to guarantee adherence to international best practices and regulatory requirements for EMS/SCADA/WAMS systems.</p> <p> Champion the adoption of new technologies and methodologies, such as automated testing, and advanced analytics, to modernize and future-proof the commissioning process for LDC systems.</p> <p> Create and maintain a knowledge base for all commissioning and testing data, ensuring valuable insights are captured and shared for future control system projects.</p> <p> Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team, building deep in-house expertise in modern control system technology.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications (Educational Qualifications, Trainings or Certifications)</p> <p> Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification.</p> <p>Professional Experience</p> <p> Minimum of 7+ years experience in large, interconnected power system operations in relevant field.</p> <p> </p>
