<p>The Senior HSE & Emergency Response Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation and continual improvement of Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), Emergency Response, Fire Protection, and Environmental Management programs across mining operations, process plant facilities, workshops, warehouses, camps, and associated infrastructure.</p>
<p>The role provides technical expertise in occupational health and safety, process plant safety, mining safety, emergency preparedness, firefighting, rescue operations, incident investigation, contractor management, and environmental compliance. The position ensures operational activities are conducted safely and in compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and international best practices while maintaining emergency response readiness across all MMC operations.</p>
<p>Detailed Description </p>
<p>MINING & PROCESS PLANT HSE MANAGEMENT</p>
<p>Support implementation and continual improvement of the Company's HSE Management System.</p>
<p>Conduct HSE inspections and audits across open-pit mining operations, crushing plants, process plants, workshops, warehouses, laboratories, fuel storage facilities, and camps.</p>
<p>Monitor compliance with company HSE procedures, permit-to-work systems, and regulatory requirements.</p>
<p>Participate in Hazard Identification (HAZID), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Task Risk Assessments (TRA), and Critical Risk Management processes.</p>
<p>Monitor safe operation of mining equipment, haul roads, crushers, conveyors, stackers, reclaimers, mills, screening plants, and associated facilities.</p>
<p>Support implementation of critical controls for mobile equipment, working at height, confined space entry, lifting operations, energy isolation (LOTO), and blasting activities.</p>
<p>Conduct workplace exposure assessments related to dust, chemical exposure, noise, vibration, heat stress, and occupational health hazards.</p>
<p>Review contractor activities and monitor contractor HSE compliance.</p>
<p>Support operational departments in developing safe work procedures and risk mitigation measures.</p>
<p>Promote a proactive safety culture through field engagement, coaching, and leadership interaction.</p>
<p>PROCESS SAFETY MANAGEMENT</p>
<p>Support process safety management activities within crushing, screening, ore handling, beneficiation, and processing facilities.</p>
<p>Participate in process hazard reviews and risk assessments.</p>
<p>Monitor implementation of process safety controls and operational safeguards.</p>
<p>Assist in identifying potential process safety risks associated with equipment failures, fires, explosions, chemical releases, and loss of containment events.</p>
<p>Participate in Management of Change (MOC) reviews.</p>
<p>Support emergency shutdown and business continuity planning activities.</p>
<p>INCIDENT INVESTIGATION & REPORTING</p>
<p>Lead or participate in investigations of all incidents, injuries, near misses, property damage, process safety events, environmental incidents, and dangerous occurrences.</p>
<p>Conduct root cause analysis and develop preventive and corrective actions.</p>
<p>Track and monitor action items until closure.</p>
<p>Prepare comprehensive investigation reports and lessons-learned communications.</p>

<p>EMERGENCY RESPONSE & FIRE PROTECTION</p>
<p>Respond to emergencies including fires, medical emergencies, rescue incidents, equipment failures, chemical releases, and environmental incidents.</p>
<p>Perform industrial firefighting activities involving fixed plant facilities, mobile equipment, fuel storage areas, workshops, and buildings.</p>
<p>Conduct rescue operations including vehicle extrication, confined space rescue, rope rescue, and recovery operations.</p>
<p>Participate in mine rescue activities when required.</p>
<p>Coordinate emergency response activities during operational incidents.</p>
<p>Maintain readiness of emergency response facilities and resources.</p>
