<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p><b>What you will do: </b></p> <ul> <li>Responsible for the overall maintenance of the hotel s facilities and equipment</li> <li>Ensure that the maintenance budget and stock levels are controlled, ensuring that all expenses are kept in line with budget guidelines.</li> <li>To be fully aware, and competent in, all health and safety procedures, policies and assist with preparing all risk assessments. </li> <li>Ensure that there is an effective PPM schedules in place. </li> <li>Manage the onsite activity of all contractors. </li> <li>Order all maintenance supplies and ensure stock controls are in place. </li> <li>Maintain records of all machinery and equipment including manufacturers details, specifications, and manuals. </li> <li>Ensure that all fire safety equipment is maintained and tested in a timely manner. </li> <li>Arrange and co-ordinate quotations from suppliers in relation to maintenance work. </li> <li>Lead and manage a team of high-energy people who love our guests, by setting and monitoring goals, empowering and developing them, and creating an environment where people can be themselves. </li> <li>Pro-actively identify opportunities to improve and enhance processes and procedures. </li> <li>To be a member of the hotel crisis and fire teams, and to be fully conversant in all related procedures. </li> <li>Pro-actively project manage any changes in policies and procedures. </li> <li>Achieve and maintain the highest possible levels of customer service to both external and internal customers, forging long-term relationships with suppliers and contractors. </li> </ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p>Proven experience as a Chief Engineer in the hospitality industry or a related field</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Electromechanical Engineering or related field.</li> <li>Minimum 8 12 years of engineering/facilities experience, including leadership roles.</li> <li>Strong leadership and team management skills</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capability</li> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Ability to work under pressure and manage emergencies</li> <li>Strong organizational and planning skills</li> <li>Flexible working hours based on operational requirements</li> <li>Strong track record in strategic planning and project leadership</li> </ul><p></p></section>
