Job Title: Automation Engineer Reports To: Engineering Manager / Automation Supervisor Job Details Number of Vacancies: 4 Positions Salary Range: OMR PHONE_NUMBER per month Work Location: All regions of Oman except Dhofar (Preference will be given to applicants from the local governorate) ________________________________________ Department: Engineering / Operations ________________________________________ Job Purpose The Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing automation and control systems to ensure efficient, reliable, and safe operation of industrial processes and equipment. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement automation and control solutions for operational facilities. Configure, program, and troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, HMI, and DCS systems. Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of automation equipment and control systems. Support commissioning, testing, and startup activities for new projects and system upgrades. Analyze system faults and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime. Prepare technical documentation, reports, drawings, and operating procedures. Ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices. Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to support business objectives. Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance personnel. ________________________________________ Qualifications Bachelor s Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field. ________________________________________ Experience Practical Experience: 0 (No prior work experience required) Internship or academic project experience in automation or control systems is an advantage. ________________________________________ Technical Skills Basic knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, ABB). Understanding of SCADA and HMI systems. Basic knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, and industrial automation technologies. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP is an advantage. Ability to read and interpret electrical and control system drawings. ________________________________________ Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to learn and develop technical skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks. Good organizational and documentation skills. ________________________________________ Working Conditions Office and field-based work environments. Site visits, troubleshooting activities, and support during shutdowns or emergencies may be required.

Desired Candidate Profile
