<p>The Senior Panel Operator will be responsible for controlling and optimizing the DRI facility from the Central Control Room during commissioning, start-up, normal operation and shutdown. This is a critical control-room position requiring strong knowledge of DRI process behaviour, DCS operation, alarms, interlocks, process troubleshooting and emergency response. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor the DRI plant through the PCS7 Distributed Control System (DCS). Participate in DCS/PLC loop checking, functional testing, interlock testing and Site Acceptance Testing. Monitor major process sections including the reactor/reduction shaft, PGH, process gas circuit, CO removal, HBI system and water-treatment facilities. <p><b>About the Role: </b>We are launching an exciting new luxury Nikki Beach Resort & Spa in Yiti Bay, Sultanate of Oman and we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director of Safety, Security & Protocol (Omani National) to join our pre-opening leadership team for a luxury resort in Muscat. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the successful opening of the resort by leading all aspects of safety, security, fire & life safety, and VIP protocol. The successful candidate will work closely with the project team to ensure all security systems, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements are in place before opening, while building a strong culture of safety and service excellence. Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning, development, and implementation of all safety, security, and protocol functions during the pre-opening and operational phases. Ensure compliance with all local laws, regulations, and brand standards related to safety, security, fire & life safety, and emergency preparedness. Work closely with project consultants and contractors to ensure security systems, including CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and emergency equipment, are properly designed, installed, tested, and commissioned. Build strong relationships with government authorities, including the Royal Oman Police, Civil Defense, and other relevant agencies, to facilitate approvals, inspections, and licensing requirements. (2) Coordination and supervision of assets, products and maintenance work in the designated area, (3) Implement plans and coordinate instrument maintenance works; in order to ensure plant equipment availability, reliability & optimization of cost / resources while facilitating smooth operations of the plant to meet operational targets.</p><p>The position will act in accordance with the Group s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines, and standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.</p><p>Main tasks and responsibilities</p><ul><li>Accountable for availability of Instrumentations, Analyzers and Controls systems, UPS/BC and communication system of the area</li><li>Ensure application of best work practices in execution of Instrumentations maintenance jobs.</li><li>Responsible for Instrumentations side of project implementation in SF B-60 facilities.</li><li>Implements the Preventive Maintenance (PM) plan within his section and execution along with work backlogs</li><li>Prepares procurement plan for his section.</li><li>Responsible for preparing the LLF of instruments and its implementations</li><li>Participate in Management of Change (MOC) committee review meetings.</li><li>Ensure Instrument equipment maintenance history & reports are updated in SAP (CMMS)</li><li>Identify the critical issues, repetitive failure of Instrument equipment, done and the RCA Recommendations implemented for the area</li><li>Monitors staff attendance, attitude and implements discipline within the section.</li><li>Prepare annual leave plans</li><li>Directs, supervises and controls all work for instruments maintenance and calibration.</li><li>Receives and analyses periodic reports on instruments maintenance and scheduled turnarounds and determines the best course of action for increasing the Section s efficiency.</li><li>Provides full technical & manpower support during plants shutdown.</li><li>Determines long term instrument maintenance policy and oversees detailed planning of maintenance activities and programs.</li><li>Reviews policies of warehouse materials/spare parts and determines strategy of their handling and procurement and ensures availability.</li><li>Coordinates efforts within the Section to develop guidelines, specifications, best practices and procedures for maintenance of pressure, level, flow, temperature, vibration and pH instruments.</li><li>Maintains technical expertise in functional areas of process instrumentation.</li></ul><p>Key Interactions</p><ul><li>Internal: Field Operators, Shift Team Leader, Panel Operators, Maintenance Coordinator, Process Trainer, Technical Services Department, Sr. / Engineer Operations.</li><li>External: Ministries, Civil Defense, ROP and Neighboring Companies</li></ul><p>Notable Working Conditions.
