<p>PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES</p><p>1. Carry out interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic data from the historical seismic databank and from new data received from seismic surveys. Identifies subsurface structure/trapping mechanism and reservoir distribution utilizing geophysical software packages such as Petrel, Geo-Graphix, DSD etc.</p><p>2. Generating plausible geophysical and geological concepts for leads and prospects in all possible plays, with appropriate risks, volume and commercial analysis and in support of a growing inventory of exploration portfolio.</p><p>3. Establish and maintain up-to-date Exploration Prospect Portfolio for all prospects for all levels, shallow to deep plays.</p><p>4. Identify new oil and gas prospects based on comprehensive technical work mainly Geophysical and Geological, from a regional prospective to block and field/prospect level.</p><p>5. Perform detail evaluation of identified prospect to progress to well proposal, presenting to the Management and shareholders to seek approval to drill Exploration wells in which clear conclusions and recommendations are required to the management to make decisions.</p><p>7. Work closely with Exploration geologist and reservoir engineer on analysis work of new found traps to ascertain the most likely locations of reservoir tops and subsequent locations of potential wells.</p><p>8. Identify optimal drilling locations using knowledge of 3D seismic interpretation and knowledge of regional and prospect specific petroleum systems.</p><p>9. Seamless coordination of all exploration-related operations between relevant internal and external parties.</p><p>10. Involvement on Tender documentation preparation and evaluation of bids for any study pertaining seismic; such as seismic data acquisition, survey plan, Processing, Reservoir Characterization, VSP, prospect identification etc.</p><p>11. Follow up and Supervise specialist or outsourced studies of seismic evaluation.</p><p>12. Stays up to date with current developments in seismic and geophysical mapping techniques and software. The role will also involve participating in the assessment of new technology, methodologies and workflows</p><p>13.
