Control and manage actual and budget for maintenance, Ship Store, LO, Medicines etc..</p><p>Policies, Systems, Processes &amp; Procedures Recommend improvements to departmental procedure and direct the implementation of instructions and controls covering a specific area of technical activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service. Maintain a particular and clear PMS system ensuring the vessel is always meeting OSMC s standards. Ensure accurate and swift sign off and approval of all stores and requisitions, ensuring that no outstanding payments are impacting OSMC s relationship to its suppliers.</p><p>Continuous Improvement Stimulate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of technical systems, processes and practices considering international best practice , improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.</p><p>MIS and Reports Prepare departmental MIS statements and reports timely and accurately to meet OSC and department requirements, policies and standards.</p><p>Safety, Quality &amp; Environment Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality product/service and a responsible environmental attitude.</p><p>Operating Activities Ensure timely condition monitoring of machinery by maintenance system to facilitate smooth operation. Ensure maintenance of the validity of all certificates and documents as per OSC policies and guidelines. Follow and co-ordinate with vessel to maintain all defect reports.
