The role ensures that all metal components, plates, and structural parts are joined accurately and securely in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and measurement requirements. The Welder must comply with established quality control procedures and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations within ADC, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and within the assigned project timelines KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Follow the daily welding chart specifications for metal sheets of PS repair/ conversion or new development laid out by the PS Supervisor in order to ensure the welding work complies with the specifications provided by the PS Engineer and the activities are completed as per timelines, quality, health and safety standards of ADC. Other jobs which will be assigned at the discretion of the Line Manager shall be attended too. Welding/ Fitting Activities Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to welding, using straightedges, combination squares, callipers, and rulers in order to ensure the welding activities are accurate and as per the requirements and specifications. Weld/ Fit components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions by igniting torches or starting power supplies and striking arcs by touching electrodes to metals such as aluminium, stainless steel and cast iron being welded, completing the electrical circuits to facilitate the joining of the multiple work pieces together and to ensure compliance with health and safety standards of ADC. Welding/ Fitting Equipment Operations Recognize, set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment in order to ensure safety and well-being of the workers working in that environment. Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to welding chart specifications or types and thicknesses of metals in order to ensure that there is minimum wastage of materials and its effective utilisation. Welding/ Fitting Conditions Connect and turn regulator valves in order to activate and adjust gas flow and pressure so that desired flames are obtained for conducting welding/ fitting activities. Monitoring Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications. Quality Control Ensure adherence to and maintenance of the quality of welding/ fitting activities in order to enable the successful welding and formation of the hull as per specifications. Material Requirements and Use Coordinate with the PS Supervisor if and when required in order to ensure that materials/ equipment/ spare part requirements are provided timely and accurately to complete job requirements. Maintain the stock of consumables and spares to enable proactive replenishment of raw materials/ equipment has/ spare parts required for welding/ fitting activities. Preparing Reports Prepare daily reports on progress, heating time, temperatures, equipment s used etc. for welding/ fitting activities in the PS department in order to keep the PS Foreman aware of the progress and ensure the work is completed as per the schedule. Supervise and participate in the maintenance, repair, installation and operation of steam, water, sewer, air and gas utilities and equipment as well as laundry, kitchen, heating plant, air conditioning and ventilation systems; supervisee and participate in the maintenance and repair of trucks, lawnmowers, automotive and power drive equipment </p><br><p>18. Monitor and supervise the work of contractors performing services on utility projects </p><br><p>19. Supervise and perform metals parts machining and processing utilizing power driven equipment such as lathes, milling machines, shapers and drill presses </p><br><p>20. Supervise and participate in metal fabrication and repair work involving the use of welding equipment; review drawings and/or sketches and determine methods fro performing requested work </p><br><p>21. Plan and schedule work for the group ensuring proper distribution of assignments and adequate staffing, space and facilities for subsequent performance of duties </p><br><p>22. Assist in development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs for mechanical equipment and facilities</p><br><p> 23. Prepare reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations and/or conclusions </p><br><p>24. Train and instruct new team member in department. </p><br><p>25. Recommend various personnel actions including, but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules </p><br><p>26. Estimate time, cost and amount and type of lumber and supplies required for projects; requisition lumber and supplies required </p><br><p>27. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with blueprints, specifications, instructions and applicable federal, state and local order; direct any rework or modification </p><br><p>28. Conduct periodic inspections of the hotel buildings and facilities to determine repair needs; establish and coordinate programs of preventive maintenance</p><br><p> 29. Successfully develops and implements short term and small-scale projects. Accurately estimates and request resources required to successfully achieving goals </p><br><p>30. Report any unusual finding or safety hazards immediately to the Chief Engineering</p><br><p> 32. Successfully complete Training Certification Process and review all department safety information (i.e. JHA’s and MSDS’s), practice emergency procedures in compliance with standards. Reacts and assist in hotel emergency situation if necessary 33. Understand and practice hotel emergency fire procedures</p><br><p> 34. Perform all other engineering related duties assigned by the Chief Engineer. Offer lateral service to internal/external customer when available </p><br><p>35. Learn, understand and energize Alila Villa Uluwatu Standard </p><br><p><strong>Technical Expertise</strong> </p><br><p>1. Collect and distributes works order to the appropriate section and ensure that his subordinates on shift duty are proficient to carry out their daily routines of operation </p><br><p>2. To complete all work orders, receive during his shift if possible and ensure that unfinished orders are properly handed over to the following shift for completion</p><br><p> 3. At regular intervals, inspects and logs the working condition of equipment, machinery and engineering systems </p><br><p>4. In the event of any sign of abnormality or breakdown of engineering systems, he must cease the operation of that equipment and run the standby system, then inform his superiors of his action</p><br><p> 5. Monitor and records utility consumption and assist the Assistant Chief Engineer to maintain efficiency </p><br><p>6. Trains and direct his subordinate in the correct operation of the equipment and machinery in his control </p><br><p>7. Trains and direct his subordinates in the correct operation of all emergency equipment i.e. fire protection panel and emergency generation equipment </p><br><p>8. To pass on his experience and skill to his subordinates in order to achieve a highly skilled and motivated team </p><br><p>9. To observe and practice safe working methods </p><br><p>10. To participate in the Hotel Emergency Team/Fire Brigade </p><br><p>11. To attend Life Safety instruction classes and any other Hotel training schemes</p><br><p> <strong>Environment Sustainability Responsibilities</strong> </p><br><p>1. Comply health, safety, security policies of the hotel </p><br><p>2. Having knowledge and ability to support environment friendly operational approach </p><br><p>3. Having knowledge and ability to implement Earth Check principles in his/her scope</p><br><br><b>Qualifications:</b><br><ul><li><span><span>At least 2 years of supervisory experience</span></span></li><li><span>Diploma or technical qualification in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or a related technical field.</span></li><li><span>Previous experience in Engineering or Maintenance within the hospitality industry or a similar environment.</span></li><li><span>Previous supervisory or team-leading experience is preferred.</span></li><li><span>Good knowledge of hotel building systems, preventive maintenance, and general maintenance practices.</span></li><li><span>Understanding of health, safety, and engineering standards and procedures.</span></li><li><span>Ability to diagnose technical issues and coordinate appropriate corrective action.</span></li><li><p><span>Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and shifts, as required by hotel operation</span></p><br></li></ul> </div>
