<h4>Primary responsibility</h4>
<p>Lead a team(s) of materials corrosion engineers to carry out the materials activities to generate relevant deliverables on time, meeting QMS requirement according to client requirements.<br>
Able to handle efficiently multiple projects. Ensure design integrity and deliverables quality for all areas within a project with special emphasis on interfaces.<br>
Ability to develop CTR based on scope of work and provide input to finalize the project execution schedule.<br>
Manage work assignments, workload, work forecasting for assigned projects.<br>
Participate in HAZID, design reviews, HAZOPs, IPF classifications, HSE related workshops. Implement, practice, and monitor quality management system in assigned projects in line with ISO 9001.<br>
Ensure seamless handover of deliverables to project teams.<br>
Manage and control all interfaces of the related discipline with other disciplines and design product suppliers.<br>
Liaise with vendors, contractors, and other client personnel to satisfy the various aspects of the project.<br>
Preparation of requisitions and technical evaluation of subsequent bids for discipline material and equipment purchases and SACP and ICCP cathodic protection systems.<br>
Ensure designs are executed in line with international, client, and company specifications, standards, and procedures.<br>
Provide feedback on improvement to the applicable design standards.</p>

<li>Demonstrated experience in materials selection (concept, FEED, detailed design).</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in corrosion analysis and implementing corrosion management programs.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in validation of corrosion control, IOW, corrosion loops and damage mechanisms.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in cathodic protection specification, design, and installation.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in conducting risk based inspection.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in painting and coatings specification.</li>
<li>Experience in all ranges of metallic and non-metallic materials.</li>
<li>Lead the material selection and corrosion control strategy for onshore oil and gas projects.</li>
<li>Conduct technical reviews of project specifications, designs, and engineering deliverables to ensure alignment with project requirements.</li>
<li>Identify, evaluate, and recommend materials suitable for various operating environments, considering factors like temperature, pressure, and corrosive media.</li>
<li>Develop and implement corrosion protection systems, including coatings, cathodic protection, and chemical treatment solutions.</li>
<li>Supervise and guide a multidisciplinary engineering team to meet project objectives and deadlines.</li>
<li>Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.</li>
<li>Monitor project progress and ensure technical accuracy, cost control, and adherence to schedules.</li>
<li>Perform detailed failure analysis, risk assessments, and life-cycle evaluations for materials and equipment.</li>
<li>Prepare and deliver comprehensive technical reports, specifications, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.</li>
<li>Provide expertise in corrosion monitoring techniques and ensure implementation during project phases.</li>
<li>Ensure all engineering activities comply with standards and quality assurance procedures.</li>
<li>Support internal and external audits and address any findings related to materials and corrosion management.</li>

<h4>Education, qualification & experience</h4>
<p>Degree in relevant engineering subject (B.Sc., B.Eng., M.Sc.); chemical, mechanical, materials.<br>
Senior engineer / engineer shall have membership of an internationally accepted applicable professional body.<br>
Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas.<br>
Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering design (concept, FEED, detailed design & operations).<br>
Experience in the Middle East is preferred.</p>

The position will act in accordance with the Group s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines and standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Main tasks and responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>HSE Roles & Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide technical input during any HSE Emergency incident or Well control event arising from Well Engineering activities.</li><li>Responsible for the implementation of Well Delivery HSSE annual plan and ensure all units under Well Delivery operate 'at all time' in compliance with OQ HSSE requirements.</li><li>Assist in the close-out HSE actions resulting from Audit or incident investigations.</li><li>Actively contribute to all high potential HSE incidents investigations including participation in the investigation team while ensuring OQ investigation process is followed and all required reports completed on time.</li><li>When required, act as Well Delivery representative as per the Emergency Response Plan.</li><li>Ensure to Work safely and think proactively about personal safety and safety of others at work</li><li>Actively participate in, contribute to, and promote company occupational health, safety, security and environment culture.</li><li>Ensure work is carried out in accordance with the Company HSE and Security policies and procedures and meet company HSE goals and targets, and participate in HSE programs.</li></ul><p><strong>Operations Roles & Responsibilities::</strong></p><ul><li>Execute the assigned work instructions for drilling and service in all aspects of daily drilling and completion activities including (but not limited to); drilling operations, casing operations, cementing operations, well integrity assurance, petrophysical data acquisition, geological data acquisition, fluid systems management, remedial operations and completion operations to ensure compliance with OQ programs.</li><li>In doing so, the roles may include but are not limited to: <ul><li>Selection of tools for bottom hole assemblies to identify an optimum configuration that optimizes performance of the tools string and job objective;</li><li>Monitor operation of equipment controls to ensure pipe movement in and/or out of the well does not compromise well control</li><li>Strong understanding of down-hole conditions: such as Problems associated with the drilling, due to the disturbances of earth stresses around the borehole, caused by the creation of the hole itself and by drilling mud/formation interaction). Open/sable hole by maintaining a balance between earth stresses and pore pressure on one side and well bore mud pressure and chemical composition on the other side (pressure and temperature reduce constantly, and the solubility of elemental sulfur in natural gas decreases continuously)</li><li>Perform field calculations to cementation jobs.</li><li>Supervise all rig up and rig downs on location including unit transit between locations to ensure HSE is not compromised.</li><li>Execute the assigned Drilling task for the Unit(s) and ensure are tested, maintained and operated within their envelope and as per OQ/OEM requirements.</li><li>Provide a detailed post-well operational performance review report.</li><li>Liaise with Senior Drilling Engineer on requirements for operation optimization or remedial work and formulates revised work instructions in accordance with OQ change management requirements.</li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>Key interactions</strong></p><ul><li>Internal: Development/Exploration Departments / Central Operations and Facilities Departments / Supply Chain Management Department.</li><li>External: Contractors & Service Providers</li></ul><p><strong>Notable Working Conditions.</strong></p><p>Field Operational environment, computer screen use.
