<p>Job Description:
Hands-on development on a live production SaaS platform. The role covers end-to-end feature delivery, API design, database schema, business logic, and the frontend built on top of it. The focus is backend, with full ownership of features from specification through to production.
Responsibilities:
Design, build and maintain REST APIs and backend services in production
Design and evolve database schema — tables, constraints, indexes, migrations
Develop frontend interfaces for delivered features (React / Next.js)
Integrate third-party APIs and external services
Write and review database migrations before they reach production
Debug and resolve production issues
Deploy, monitor and maintain delivered work
Short release cycles, direct ownership of shipped features, and involvement across the full stack of the product.</p><p>• 2+ years building production backend systems — REST APIs, authentication, integrations, background jobs
• Strong in at least one modern backend stack: Python, Node.js, Go, Java or similar
• Solid relational database skills — schema design, constraints, indexes, migrations. Comfortable writing SQL, not only ORM calls
• Frontend ability — React or a modern JavaScript framework, sufficient to build and ship user-facing features
• Proven ownership of features from specification through to production
• Clear written English
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred:
• Python / FastAPI — the primary backend stack for this role
• Next.js / React
• PostgreSQL, and Supabase or another Postgres-based BaaS
• Row-Level Security
• Migration discipline (Alembic or equivalent)
• Async programming
• Third-party API integration under real constraints
• Cloud deployment, monitoring and CI/CD
Candidates who have moved into DevOps or platform engineering and no longer write application code daily, or who prefer backend-only roles with no frontend involvement, are unlikely to be a good match.
Applicants should state in the first line of their application: the backend service they are most proud of — the stack used, what it did, and a repository link if public. Applications that do not include this will not be reviewed.</p>
<p><h4>Description</h4>
<p>Turn passion into business. Bring Stranger Soccer to Oman.</p>
<p>What if you could take something you love—football—and turn it into a sustainable, growing business? At Stranger Soccer, that’s exactly what we’ve made possible.</p>
<p>We’re expanding our unique football experience platform to new cities, and we’re looking for a license owner/operator in Oman to take the reins. This is not a traditional role—it is designed for individuals who understand football culture, thrive on building something meaningful, and are ready to own and operate their own venture with the support of a proven global brand.</p>
<p>Imagine this:</p>
<p>Players in your city scroll through dozens of weekly football games on a mobile app.<br>
They book in seconds, show up, and play.<br>
Every game delivers a consistent, high-quality experience — because you are making it happen.<br>
You are at the center, operating a full football ecosystem for your community.</p>
<h4>How it works</h4>
<p>Stranger Soccer has redefined how people play the world’s most loved sport. Through our technology platform, we make casual football as easy to access as a gym session. Born in Singapore, Stranger Soccer is now open in 10+ cities around the world, with over 100,000 games run. Our model is built for scale — and we’re ready to bring it to Amsterdam.</p>
<h4>Who we’re looking for</h4>
<ul>
<li>A football enthusiast with strong local insight</li>
<li>A strategic thinker with leadership and business experience</li>
<li>An entrepreneurial mind ready to operate independently, with full support from HQ</li>
<li>Someone who wants more than a job — they want ownership, impact, and results</li>
</ul>
<p>You’ll manage everything from operations to marketing to team recruitment — but you won’t be alone. Our HQ team provides the tools, playbook, and platform to help you succeed.</p>
<h4>Why this opportunity stands out</h4>
<p>This isn’t a typical job. It’s a business opportunity for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset to take the reins, lead locally, and build a venture that changes how people experience the beautiful game.</p>
<p>Let’s change how the world plays football — one city at a time.</p></p><p></p>
