<p>This is a predominantly teaching focused position to manage and support delivery of postgraduate, undergraduate, foundation and executive programmes. Applicants should demonstrate excellence in teaching and research. Preference will be given to candidates with administrative experience. <p><b>POSITION SUMMARY</b> Based in Salalah, in Dhofar Governorate, Oman, Chief of Party (ARISE Program Lead) is the most senior manager of the ARISE Program Team, with strong managerial experience and technical expertise in biodiversity, land restoration/conservation, and land management. S/he is responsible for the overall coordination and management of all programmatic and financial aspects of the ARISE Program in accordance with approved documents and GGGI guidelines. Comprehensive & Solid knowledge of HSE Management System and the fundamentals of HSE aspects (HSE MS, HSE plans, Hazard and Risk Assessment, Permit to Work System, Incident Investigations & Root cause analysis, Energy Isolation systems, Confined Space requirements, Lifting & Excavations works, machine/ equipment safety). Solid knowledge Integrated Management System and all related ISO Certificates such as but not limited to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001. Knowledge of local HSE regulations MD 286/2008, OPAL Standards. Knowledge of relevant International HSE related standards IOGP, OSHA, ISO, NFPA Adaptable and motivated general management strategist who relishes challenges. Experience in HSE / IMS audits preferably a certified ISO 45001 Lead Auditor. Knowledge of HSE systems & techniques such as: o INTELEX HSE reporting system. o User knowledge of SAP system. Experience in Records Management principles and implementation methods. Occupational Health & Safety Management System- development, review, and implementation.</p><h2>Competencies and skills</h2><ul><li>Ability to prepare, update, and draft policies, procedures, and guidelines</li><li>Previous experience in both Document & Data Management is preferred.</li><li>Substantial experience as a Data and /or Document Management Lead in Capital Projects.</li><li>Strong Computer skills with skill level experience in using Company standard document control and document management systems and using (at least some of) project reporting software such as PowerBI, Crystal, Business Objects, MS Access, and Excel is essential.</li><li>Good working knowledge of the Project Data Control and relevant processes.</li><li>Sound understanding of the IMS SoW and Information Specification, Design Engineering Practices Engineering Information Specification (EIS), and the related documents.</li><li>Reporting</li><li>Interpersonal skills and ability to work with team and individually.</li><li>Planning and organizing</li><li>Technical writing, Recordkeeping</li><li>Presentation skills</li><li>Analytical thinking</li><li>Motivates people to perform at their peak to the advantage of the organization</li></ul>
