<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>Purpose The main purpose of the Architect role is to develop and review design drawings and renderings as well as independently review Consultant s design documentation based on development briefs. This will also include being involved in all aspects of the architectural process such as: Concept design, design development, client, and consultant liaison, detailing and documentation, specification of material and project visualization. Operational Assist in the preparation and presentation of design reviews using computer-aided design (CAD) and traditional methods. Assist in the development of innovative contextual design solutions for a diverse range of projects Provide support to the rest of the design management and consultant teams as required. Conduct project site visits to ensure that design specifications are met. Liaise with Clients and Stakeholders and User Groups to determine their requirements and coordinate dissemination of this information to the Design Management and Consultant teams. Assist in the preparation of concept designs and various design approaches for development briefs. Assist in the creation and verification of briefing documents. Assist in the review of project design and ensure compliance with client s specifications and requirements. Assist in specifying materials and equipment for the project. Assist in the selection process for all relevant procurement and logistics requirements. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and one or more other computer-aided architectural design programs, such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, or Rhinoceros.
