<p>Assist the People & Culture Manager in the budgeting process by providing all housing-related expenses, including Operating Equipment and FF&E requirements. Ensure the housing budget is strictly adhered to, with all costs controlled and properly approved. Monitor the monthly P&L and conduct regular analysis of housing-related financial performance. Provide leadership, direction, and support to all colleagues and foster a positive working environment. Train, evaluate, and schedule housing colleagues in accordance with company standards and housing policies. Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions to maintain open communication and address concerns. Attend daily People & Culture meetings and all other required meetings as scheduled. Maintain all housing inventories, including colleague equipment, keys, stock items, and accommodation assets. Manage key control, distribution, and inventory for all colleague housing. Conduct regular apartment inspections and inventories, including exit inspections for resigned or terminated colleagues before approving exit clearance. Ensure proper care, security, and maintenance of all hotel and housing equipment through regular supervision. Coordinate daily and weekly cleaning of housing facilities, public areas, and apartments with vendors, colleagues, and owning companies. Coordinate linen changes with external laundry providers for new arrivals and current colleagues, where applicable. Oversee maintenance requests, pest control, and upkeep of all housing facilities, including gym equipment, public bathrooms, changing rooms, and waiting areas. Establish and maintain a Lost & Found procedure for colleague housing. Respond to day-to-day requests from housing occupants in a courteous and professional manner. Maintain strong working relationships and effective communication with all colleagues, departments, and external vendors. Encourage efficient inter-departmental communication to promote teamwork and engagement. Coordinate transportation arrangements between the hotel, colleagues, and transportation providers. Identify areas for improvement in housing operations by reviewing reports, colleague feedback, and incident reports, and implement action plans accordingly. Coordinate monthly housing inspections with a security department member. Report any security incidents or disciplinary matters to the Director of People & Culture and the People and Culture Manager. Monitor market trends, competitor practices, and pricing, and share relevant insights with the Director of People & Culture. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>Nama Water Services (Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company) is pleased to announce a "Training for Employment" , in collaboration with its contracted companies that offer permanent job opportunities in the water and wastewater sector.</p><p>Job Purpose: The Database Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing organizational databases to ensure high availability, performance, integrity, and security of data used across business systems.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Install, configure, and maintain database systems and environments.</li><li>Monitor database performance, availability, and security.</li><li>Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations.</li><li>Ensure data integrity, consistency, and reliability across systems.</li><li>Optimize database performance through tuning and troubleshooting.</li><li>Manage user access, roles, and permissions.</li><li>Support database design, development, and implementation activities.</li><li>Identify and resolve database issues and system failures.</li><li>Implement database security policies and best practices.</li><li>Maintain documentation of database configurations, procedures, and standards.</li><li>Support data migration, upgrades, and system integration projects.</li></ul><p>Working Conditions: Office-based work environment. May require occasional support during system maintenance, upgrades, or critical incidents.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p>Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.</p><p>Experience: Practical Experience: 0 (No prior work experience required) Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.</p><p>Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL. Understanding of SQL and database concepts. Familiarity with backup, recovery, and data security principles. Basic understanding of system administration and servers. Knowledge of performance tuning concepts (advantage). Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.</p><p>Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work under supervision and follow procedures. Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.</p><p>Application Note : The applicant must be a job seeker. The applicant must be an Omani national. For applicants with previous work experience, at least three (3) months since their last employment movement recorded in the Ministry of Labour system, as of the date of this announcement. The applicant must not have previously benefited from any training program funded by either the public or private sector. The applicant must have no more than three (3) years of work experience.
