<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>Nama Water Services (Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company) is pleased to announce a "Training for Employment" , in collaboration with its contracted companies that offer permanent job opportunities in the water and wastewater sector.</p><p>Job Title: Telecommunication Engineer</p><p>Reports To: Telecommunications Manager / Engineering Manager</p><p>Job Details</p><p>Number of Vacancies: 2 Positions</p><p>Salary Range: OMR PHONE_NUMBER per month</p><p>Work Location: All governorates of Oman except Dhofar (Preference will be given to applicants from the local governorate)</p><p>Job Purpose</p><p>The Telecommunication Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing telecommunications systems and networks to ensure reliable, efficient, and secure communication services across the organization.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Design, implement, and maintain telecommunications infrastructure, including voice, data, and wireless communication systems.</li><li>Monitor network performance and ensure the availability and reliability of telecommunication services.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve telecommunications and network-related issues.</li><li>Support the installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of telecommunication equipment and systems.</li><li>Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities for communication networks and equipment.</li><li>Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to support telecommunications projects and operations.</li><li>Ensure compliance with company standards, telecommunications regulations, and industry best practices.</li><li>Prepare technical reports, network documentation, drawings, and operational procedures.</li><li>Evaluate and recommend upgrades and improvements to telecommunications systems.</li><li>Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and end users.</li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><p>Bachelor s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related field.</p><p>Experience</p><p>Practical Experience: 0 (No prior work experience required)</p><p>Internship or academic projects in telecommunications are an advantage.</p><p>Technical Skills</p><ul><li>Knowledge of telecommunications networks, transmission systems, and communication protocols.</li><li>Basic understanding of fiber optic networks, wireless communication systems, and IP-based technologies.</li><li>Familiarity with routing, switching, VoIP, and network security principles.</li><li>Basic knowledge of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, network diagrams, and specifications.</li><li>Understanding of telecommunications standards and regulations.</li></ul><p>Soft Skills</p><ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Good communication and teamwork abilities.</li><li>Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.</li><li>Good organizational and documentation skills.</li><li>Attention to detail and commitment to quality.</li></ul><p>Working Conditions</p><p>Office and field-based work environments.
