<p>PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES</p><p>1. Carry out interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic data from the historical seismic databank and from new data received from seismic surveys. Identifies subsurface structure/trapping mechanism and reservoir distribution utilizing geophysical software packages such as Petrel, Geo-Graphix, DSD etc.</p><p>2. Generating plausible geophysical and geological concepts for leads and prospects in all possible plays, with appropriate risks, volume and commercial analysis and in support of a growing inventory of exploration portfolio.</p><p>3. Establish and maintain up-to-date Exploration Prospect Portfolio for all prospects for all levels, shallow to deep plays.</p><p>4. Identify new oil and gas prospects based on comprehensive technical work mainly Geophysical and Geological, from a regional prospective to block and field/prospect level.</p><p>5. <p><b>Main tasks and responsibilities </b></p>
<p> Provide expert technical input on wells and production technology to support investment valuations, asset acquisitions, divestments, and farm-in/farm-out evaluations within the Commercial function. </p>
<p> Lead technical assessments of well performance, artificial lift systems, production enhancement opportunities, and production technology solutions in support of commercial transactions and portfolio reviews. </p>
<p> Conduct and quality-assure well and production data analyses, including production decline analysis, well surveillance reviews, and production system optimisation studies to underpin economic evaluations. </p>
<p> Provide independent technical review and challenge of wells and production assumptions used in investment cases, business development notes, and project initiation notes. </p>
<p> Support due diligence processes for upstream opportunities, including data room visits and technical assessment of well stock, production infrastructure, and technology maturity of third-party assets. </p>
<p> Collaborate with the Economics & Planning function to integrate wells and production uncertainty ranges into economic models, sensitivity analyses, and risk-weighted valuations. </p>
<p> Assess the technical and commercial viability of production technology applications including EOR/IOR schemes, well intervention programs, and production optimisation initiatives. </p>
<p> Develop and maintain wells and production technology standards, tools, and workflows relevant to the Commercial function's investment evaluation process. </p>
<p> Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers within the team. </p>
<p> Represent OQEP in technical forums, joint venture meetings, and partner discussions on wells and production technology matters as required. </p>
<p> Liaise with operated and non-operated asset teams to gather wells and production data and validate technical assumptions used in commercial evaluations. </p>
<p> Contribute to the preparation of investment proposals, executive summaries, and board-level presentations related to upstream opportunities. </p>

<p> Experience in technical evaluations for commercial transactions (acquisitions, divestments, farm-ins, JVs) with a focus on well stock and production system assessment. </p>
<p> Familiarity with Oman's upstream regulatory environment and concession/EPSA framework is an advantage. </p>
