Domain Knowledge:

  1. Installation, troubleshooting, and upgrading of standard software and IT and telephony hardware.
  2. Strong expertise in operating systems, including Windows and Mac.
  3. Managing and maintaining multi-function printers efficiently.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office and Office 365 troubleshooting and management.
  5. Daily ticket registration, resolution, and updates in the IT support system.
  6. Hands-on experience with antivirus solutions and ensuring endpoint security.
  7. Basic networking skills, including cabling, crimping, and tracing; N+ or similar certification is preferred.
  8. Familiarity with Switches, Routers, and Firewalls for basic configuration and troubleshooting.
  9. Routine management and cleansing of user accounts to ensure compliance and security.
  10. Regular supervision and maintenance of Main Distribution Frames (MDF) and Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDF).
  11. Coordination with ISPs and vendors for support and troubleshooting issues as needed.
  12. Knowledge of data backup strategies, including VM image backup and recovery processes.
  13. Keeping inventory of IT assets, including software licenses and hardware.
  14. Documentation of all processes, updates, changes, and credentials with respect IT in MPH.
  15. Experience with remote support tools for remote support.
  16. Immediate escalating of issues to IT department manager in case, if the issue is beyond the capabilities on the onsite staff.
  17. Quick response times to calls, a humble attitude, team player mindset, and openness to suggestions.


Skills

Additional Requirement:

  1. The company must also provide basic to midlevel level support for servers, network devices, and firewall configuration and troubleshooting as part of the contract when required. Specially with domain knowledge of HP Aruba (Core + WIFI controller), Cisco-Linksys-Alcatel switches, Fortigate, Windows Servers, SQL Management Servers, Dahua and Hikvision CCTV, Sangfor HCI, Netapp Storage, Unify PBX.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Diploma or undergraduate degree in IT or a related field.
  2. Relevant certifications from recognized vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA).

 

Work Experience:

2 to 3 years of experience in IT support or a related role.

Work Timing and Location:

  1. 9-hour shifts, with on-call availability (24x7 support).
  2. Staff to stay on-site at a Hospital, Muscat.
