Key Responsibilities:
• Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely cost estimates for interior design
and fit-out projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Project Scope Review: Work closely with project managers, designers, and clients to
fully understand the scope of work and project specifications to ensure estimates reflect
the exact requirements.
• Bid Preparation: Coordinate the preparation of tenders, including analyzing contract
documents, drawings, and specifications, and preparing bid submissions in accordance
with client and project requirements.
• Material and Labor Cost Analysis: Research and analyze material and labor costs,
including sourcing pricing from suppliers and subcontractors, and identifying cost-
effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Quantity Take-offs: Perform detailed quantity take-offs from architectural and
engineering drawings to determine material quantities and labor requirements.
• Risk and Contingency Analysis: Identify potential risks, variations, and changes in
scope that may impact cost and timelines. Provide recommendations for mitigating these
risks.
• Cost Control: Monitor project costs during execution and compare against estimates,
advising the project team on any potential issues or deviations from budget.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure that the best suppliers
and subcontractors are selected within budget constraints, and provide support for
negotiating contracts.
• Value Engineering: Provide value engineering services to clients and project teams to
optimize costs and improve efficiency without compromising on design quality.
• Post-Contract Support: Assist with any post-contract variations, project budget updates,
and cost analysis throughout the life cycle of the project.
