<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>To provide comprehensive IT support in Salalah and surrounding grid stations by ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of systems, network, hardware, and software, while upholding IT policies, security standards (ISO 27001), and exceptional customer service. Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within IT. Must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. Must also be customer-oriented and patient to deal with difficult users. This role requires proactive actions to anticipate and explore creative solutions for improved user experience. The Help Desk main role will entail remote troubleshooting, speaking with end users over the phone, occasionally supporting users onsite, escalating issues, updating tickets, maintaining documentation, and assisting our Network Administrators and Senior IT Engineers with their client work.</p><p>Provide first and second-level IT support to users and ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests. Manage and monitor incidents, service requests, and changes through the approved IT Service Management (ITSM) platform. Install, configure, maintain, and support end-user devices, operating systems, software applications, and peripheral equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues to ensure business continuity. Perform routine maintenance, system updates, patch management, and health checks to ensure reliable IT operations. Support the administration of user accounts, access rights, and Microsoft 365 services in accordance with approved policies and procedures. Act as the primary IT focal point for Salalah regional offices, grid stations, and associated facilities. Provide onsite support to regional offices and grid stations and support other regions when required. Support the implementation, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, systems, and technology solutions within the region. Maintain accurate records of IT assets and ensure compliance with asset lifecycle management processes. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to support operational and project-related activities. Ensure compliance with OETC ICT policies, standards, procedures, and information security requirements. Support cybersecurity initiatives, vulnerability remediation activities, and ISO/IEC 27001 compliance requirements. Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery activities, including testing and service restoration exercises. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operational reports, and knowledge-base articles. Contribute to IT projects, technology initiatives, technical evaluations, and continuous improvement activities. Promote excellent customer service and maintain effective working relationships with users and stakeholders. Maintain required technical and HSE certifications and comply with safety requirements for accessing operational sites and grid stations. Travel to OETC locations across Oman as required to support operational, maintenance, and project activities. <p>Optimize the machine settings to ensure that the highest quality is produced at the maximum output. Carry out product changeover and strictly adhere to the process specification sheets for each product. Record all machine settings as required and carry out a shift turnover to the incoming operators. Follow the Daily Production Schedule as prepared by the Production Planner. Troubleshoot sheet faults. Report any damage or misuse of equipment and will always ensure that the equipment is operated in a safe manner. <p>Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting goods. Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order. Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status. Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods. Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from the loading crew and checking that the vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. Read bills of landing to determine assignment details. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, and damage to the vehicles. Keep records of materials and products transported. Position blocks and tie rope around items to secure cargo for transport. Clean, inspect the service vehicle. Operate equipment on the vehicle to load, unload, or disperse cargo materials. Assist in loading and unloading the truck manually. <p>The Project Manager shall be responsible for the overall planning, execution, supervision, coordination, and successful delivery of wastewater projects contracts. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, managing budgets and schedules, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining stakeholder coordination, and achieving contractual performance objectives in line with organizational goals.</p><p>The Project Manager shall be responsible for the overall management, coordination, and successful delivery of all ongoing and planned wastewater projects and contracts, from the initial planning stage through to project handover. This shall include ensuring the provision of all necessary support required for effective operations and maintenance. The responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:</p><ul><li>Providing overall leadership and direction to the NDS project team &amp; OE</li><li>Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual requirements.</li><li>Monitoring project progress, budget, KPIs, and contractor performance.</li><li>Administer and manage contracts in accordance with approved terms and conditions.</li><li>Review variations, claims, cost estimates, and financial implications of proposed changes.</li><li>Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and expenditure control.</li><li>Oversee design reviews, technical submissions, method statements, and engineering deliverables.</li><li>Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Provide strategic guidance on optimization, rehabilitation, and expansion projects.</li><li>Act as the primary point of contact between Client, Contractors, Consultants, and Regulatory Authorities.</li><li>Attend and lead progress meetings, technical reviews, and coordination sessions.</li><li>Prepare and submit executive reports to senior management and committees.</li><li>Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency improvements.</li><li>Lead value engineering initiatives and long-term strategic planning for wastewater infrastructure.</li><li>Evaluate feasibility, return on investment, and lifecycle cost analysis for</li><li>Provide guidance and mentoring to engineering and operations staff.</li><li>Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and record keeping.</li><li>Perform any other duties assigned by NDS management as required.</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor s Degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.</li><li>Minimum 20 - 25 years of overall professional experience.</li><li>At least 15 - 18 years experience in wastewater projects.</li><li>Proven experience in managing large scale contracts and/or construction supervision of wastewater systems.</li><li>The Experience should be but not limited to the Water reclamation plant /Sewage Treatment Plant, Sewer Network, TSE Network &amp; Emergency outfall.</li><li>Well versed knowledge with ORACLE project management and costing module.</li><li>Strong knowledge of contract management, procurement procedures, and project controls.</li><li>Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent will be an added advantage.</li><li>Strong leadership, decision making, and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting abilities.</li><li>Strong analytical, financial management, and risk assessment capabilities.</li><li>Good understanding of HSE regulations, statutory requirements, and quality management systems (ISO standards).</li></ul>
