The Staff Nurse provides high-quality patient care by performing clinical tasks, monitoring patient conditions, and administering treatments. Key Responsibilities - Patient Care
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual needs.
- Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and overall health to detect changes in patient conditions.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Clinical Duties
- Perform diagnostic tests, collect specimens, and assist with medical procedures.
- Maintain and operate medical equipment safely and efficiently.
- Document patient care, progress, and treatment plans accurately in medical records.
- Patient Education
- Provide information and guidance to patients and their families regarding treatments, medications, and health management.
- Address patient concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Team Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assist in managing patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Infection Control and Safety
- Follow infection prevention protocols and ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations, policies, and ethical standards.
- Emergency Response
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide life-saving care as necessary.
- Participate in code responses and crisis situations as part of the healthcare team.
Key Qualifications - Education:
- Diploma or degree in Nursing (e.g., Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Licensure:
- Current and valid nursing license (Registered Nurse certification).
- Experience:
- Prior clinical or hospital experience is preferred but not always required.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
