Job Responsibility

The job holder will lead the organizational development processes, mainly, across Oman market and improve the right organization capabilities. He/She will represent the company with key clients and other external bodies in Oman, and to lead all Oman functions towards executing the established strategies. Also, any other countries in Middle East could be required.


Job Accountabilities

  • Business Strategy Execution: Implement the business plan for the designated area of responsibility, aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Cost Management & Market Analysis: Develop and analyse both direct and indirect cost factors to ensure competitive pricing and market competitiveness.
  • Budgeting & Financia Management: Prepare annual budgets, covering manpower, materials, and equipment. Assess and review monthly EBIT forecasts to track actual business performance.
  • Compliance & Safety: Enforce environmental, health, safety, transportation, and operational procedures in accordance with company policies, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment for all employees.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Oversee all local compliance activities, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and legal requirements.
  • Profit & Loss Responsibility: Manage P&L and drive business growth by identifying opportunities to optimize revenue and control costs.
  • Operations Management: Supervise the operation and maintenance of all equipment, ensuring optimum efficiency and timely completion of projects.
  • Contract Management: Review contract bids, pricing, and cost ratios to ensure accuracy and compliance with contract specifications.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Facilitate cross-functional collaboration by sharing resources, ideas, and information to drive business success.
  • Cross-Divisional Synergies: Identify and leverage opportunities across divisions to reduce costs and improve overall business performance.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and support team members, aligning team and individual goals with regional and organizational objectives.
  • Leadership Planning: Develop leadership resource plans for key positions in finance, administration, and operations, and contribute to plans for other areas such as Sales & Marketing.
  • HSE Policy Development: Actively engage in the development and implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and practices.
  • Legal and Government Compliance: Considerable knowledge of local law and regulations for employment, company and industry.


Communications & Work Environment

The role requires effective communication with internal stakeholders, as well as collaboration with various company functions. The job holder must ensure that major issues are communicated timely to Director of the Middle East. Additionally, the role requires working in a dynamic, high-pressure environment while maintaining a professional and composed demeanor.


Job Requirements

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent. MBA or courses in Management of companies is preferred as well.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of relevant business experience in management of water cycle of water.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility within a service industry.
  • Extensive knowledge in Process Management, Operations Management, QA/QC procedures, and relevant industry standards (e.g., DOT, EPA, TSCA, OSHA).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing utility systems, demonstrating progressive responsibility.
  • Supervisory experience within a water/wastewater treatment environment is essential.
  • Experience in budget preparation, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Experience in overall company management, business development, contracts and general services (HR, Legal and local regulations/ law).

Relevant Skills and Competencies:

  • Fluency in Spanish and English (both written and spoken) is required. Arabic is a plus.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive business results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical thinking with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all situations.
  • In-depth understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Stress management, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure.
  • High level of energy, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to develop technical-commercial strategies and achieve business objectives in challenging environments.
