This role is responsible to ensure that Ooredoo is seen as a technology and innovation leader by ensuring that its customers have access to the very latest handsets and consumer devices / accessories through the profitable sourcing, development and maintenance of stocks CPE and third party suppliers and services. The role holder also owns the relationship between Ooredoo and suppliers of products and services with the aim of ensuring that Ooredoo is best positioned to offer best in class products.

Core Responsibilities



Functional Delivery and Planning (Process/Technical /Operational)
Identifies and defines the overall strategy for devices and applications to determine the extent to which Ooredoo should procure / subsidize / market handsets and devices (Phones, Routers, CPE etc). Continuously monitors the market to identify the latest and best devices for testing. Identifies ‘what is coming to market’ and ‘how it could be used by Ooredoo’ to drive revenue/acquisition and retention targets. Oversees identifying and defining how Ooredoo should procure / market / retail handsets and devices (i.e. direct order or partnership at individual operator or group level) Develop and support the implementation of a device portfolio for all product segments- mobile, fixed data, fixed voice, etc. Determine and define how Ooredoo should support device sales, configuration, branding, maintenance and repair. Manages the technical testing of all new devices to ensure they meet the quality, functionality and pricing standards as determined by Ooredoo. Obtains regulatory approvals for all new devices In conjunction with other areas of the organization seeks to ensure that Ooredoo is offering the right CPE at the correct price (including bundling), through the correct distribution channels and supported in a way that gives a great end user experience. Identifies, evaluates, proposes and launches handset & device proposition bundling opportunities to deliver value to key customer segments (i.e. affordable handset / SIM card and airtime bundles to the low end of the market and feature rich ‘prestige’ handsets to the top end of the market)
Responsible for identifying, communicating and obtaining management support to resource needs / organizational changes recommended to support execution of handset strategy at the operational customer service level (i.e. retail shop marketing, handset distribution, stock warehousing and replenishment, handset warranty, maintenance and support)
Monitor ETR activities: revenue generation, marketing liaison and pricing of all premium numbers (mobile and fixed) for Ooredoo customers Owns the Inventory System and manage the availability of stocks and products of SIM, eSIMS & Scratch cards as well as CPEs in line with Ooredoo's business plans for consumers with best quality assurances. Setting proper tools to ensure Management & Monitoring of trends for products stocks to avoid shortages or delays. Oversee the testing and opening of new numbering levels Identify, test and roll out new business models for trade in, proxy device subsidy and long term payments methods

Leadership



Cascade the AOP targets and the overall strategy to the team ensuring they understand and can deliver the requirements Manage the team on a daily basis including resolving issues and maintaining high motivation levels within the team Ensure all team members have in place performance contracts and Complete accurate, objective and fact-based performance appraisals for all direct reports on time Delegate effectively to provide opportunity for growth Lead, motivate and develop a team to ensure the highest level of knowledge and performance across the department Manage resources, people, financial, operational to ensure the AOP can be achieved.

The Person



You have a degree in Marketing or similar, with +8 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry for either an operator, handset distributor or handset manufacturer (experience within an operator preferred). You also have:
A strong commercial and technical background A strong understanding of handset models, technologies and mobile industry trends • Experience of building relationship with application developers Experience in managing cross-functional teams and suppliers and a track record in bringing products to market. Strong technical understanding
