Crowne Plaza Muscat OCEC is seeking a skilled and motivated Demi Chef de Partie to support our culinary operations during evening and overnight service. The ideal candidate will assist in delivering high-quality à la carte dishes in accordance with brand standards, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and exceptional guest satisfaction. This role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during night operations while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.


YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:


  • Assist the Chef de Partie in the preparation and presentation of à la carte menu items during night service.


  • Ensure consistent quality, taste, and portion control in all dishes served.


  • Prepare mise en place according to daily production requirements.


  • Maintain smooth and efficient kitchen operations during overnight hours.


  • Monitor food stock levels and report shortages to the senior chef on duty.


  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food products (FIFO).


  • Adhere to hotel food safety standards and HACCP procedures.


  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times.


  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is used and maintained properly.


  • Follow health and safety regulations in accordance with hotel and local guidelines.


  • Support team members to ensure seamless service delivery.


  • Communicate clearly with front-of-house staff regarding special requests or dietary requirements.


  • Assist in training Commis Chefs and junior kitchen staff when required.


  • Report maintenance issues or operational concerns to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.


WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:


  • Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts preferred.


  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role within a 4- or 5-star hotel.


  • Experience in à la carte service is essential.


  • Ability to work independently during night shifts.


  • Strong knowledge of international cuisine and cooking techniques.


  • Good understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices.


  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
