Hotel Business Development Officer

Location: Muscat Hospitality Academy 

Reports to: Business Development Manager


Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

- Business Development: Identify and capitalize on new partnership opportunities to drive revenue growth and support student placements.

- Establish and nourish strategic partnerships, ensuring that collaboration with the VET by EHL program benefits all stakeholders.

- Act as the primary point of contact between Muscat Hospitality Academy and hotel industry partners, ensuring seamless communication and mutual benefit.

- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities in the hospitality sector.

- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets and improve market presence in the hotel and tourism industry.

- Maintain and enhance relationships with existing partners to foster loyalty and long-term engagement.

- Represent Muscat Hospitality Academy at industry events, conferences, and seminars to promote its programs and partnership opportunities.

- Work closely with internal departments, including marketing, admissions, and academic teams, to align business development efforts with the academy's goals.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

- A diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field is required.

- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry or higher education sector.

- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage partner expectations and secure successful deals.


B- Ability to think strategically, with a proven track record of implementing practical, effective business solutions.

- Strong networking skills to build relationships with key players in the hospitality industry.

- Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop comprehensive business strategies.

- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing industry conditions and client needs.

- Experience leading cross-functional teams and working collaboratively to achieve organizational goals.


Professional Experience:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within the hospitality or tourism sectors.

- Experience working with clients or industry partners to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.

- Proven ability to achieve sales and revenue targets in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

- Prior experience representing an organization at industry events or conferences.
