Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC processes for joinery production.
- Monitor and inspect materials, workmanship, and processes to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct routine quality audits of the production line, ensuring that products meet company and client expectations.
- Collaborate with the production team to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Establish and maintain documentation for quality control, including inspection reports and non-conformance reports (NCR).
- Oversee the quality of on-site installation for joinery works, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers and site teams to implement QA/QC protocols during installation.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure that the work aligns with technical drawings and quality benchmarks.
- Address and resolve any quality issues that arise during the installation phase.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients regarding quality-related concerns and ensure client satisfaction.
- Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and consultants to address QA/QC matters and provide regular updates on quality performance.
- Provide documentation, such as quality control plans, quality certificates, and inspection reports, for project handovers.
- Ensure compliance with local and international quality standards, including ISO 9001 or equivalent.
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices and integrate them into the company's quality management systems.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a QA/QC, including at least 2 years in the manager/in charge capacity, within the joinery /fit-out industry.
- Experience managing both production quality and on-site installation quality.
- In-depth knowledge of joinery production processes and quality standards.
- Proficiency in QA/QC software, documentation, and auditing.
- Familiarity with UAE construction regulations and standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address quality issues efficiently.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage client relationships and internal teams.
