Manager - Ancillary Products

Oman Air - Oman - muscat

Role Objective:-

Responsible for growing and developing ancillary streams for Omanair.com from flight products, Third party products, Orchestration of fees and surcharges, Inflight retailing, Aircraft monetization along with pricing optimization.


Area of responsibility: -

1. Generating revenue by improving product portfolio across all the ancillary pillars for Omanair.

2. Manage RFP process (where relevant) for new product providers, following airline processes at all times to ensure successful partners are identified and contracted.

3. Manage all third-party product providers, including monitoring of revenues, customer complaints and other SLAs.

4. Provide regular reports (including both data and commentary) on Ancillary product development.

5. Collaborate with Ecommerce and CRO function to Segment customer data and build cohorts to strategize various upsell and cross tactics on the booking flow and post booking touchpoints.

6. Identify ways to merchandize all the products on indirect channels alongside web and mobile.

7. Expert in benchmarking of competitor (both regional and global) ancillary products, pricing and partners.

8. Expert in Ancillary price optimization through experiments, dynamic pricing techniques across all channels.

9. Proactively work with all airline departments and product providers to ensure ancillary revenue products are optimized in terms of distribution, customer experience and revenues at all times.

10. Analyse customer trends and behavior to run dedicated or joint promotions to improve attach rates of ancillary products.

11. Rationalize the data sources and centralize performance dashboards for overview of all performance insights to drive pricing decisions.

12. Collaborate with ecommerce teams to articulate effective merchandizing flow for portfolio products.

13. Use CRM data, market research and any other available analysis to identify and deliver new product ideas, driving opportunities for co- brand and/or partner projects.

14. Contribute to commercial roadmap to support airline goals, demonstrating leadership through the debate, development and implementation of new initiatives, channels and/or products.

15. Understanding the pricing tactics, using statistical estimation methods and simulations to continuously improve revenue outcomes.

16. Optimizing Omanair customer journey to earn loyalty by working on all the necessary elements to improve the performance of products across digital experience streams.

17. Manage and support multiple projects in a fast-paced with deadline-driven environment.

18. Any other responsibilities assigned by management and LM as and when necessary.



Education & Experience: -

Bachelor's degree in business/ marketing/ information systems, Data Science, or related field with mandatory 5+ years of Ancillary products/Pricing/experience in airline industry



Special Skills & Knowledge: -

Proficiency in English (Reading and Writing) :

In-depth understanding of airline ancillary products and revenue streams.

Knowledge of Passenger service system viz., sabre, Pricing changes, Price optimizations for ancillary

Experience in simulating data driven models for pricing where competitor data is limited.

Proven knowledge on building ancillary product portfolio.

Proficient in various data analysis techniques and procedures.

Excellent report writing and presentation abilities.

Able to orient data analytics insights with the end-user in mind.

Excellent Communication Skills

Good Interpersonal Skills

Excellent knowledge on internet booking engine, merchandizing flows for improving product shopping experience.
