Position Summary:

The Head of Hard Facilities Management will oversee all aspects of hard services including building maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety and quality standards. The role involves strategic planning, budgeting, vendor management, and coordination with internal teams to ensure the smooth operation of the facility's infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Ensure timely inspections, repairs, and upgrades in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to avoid downtime.
  • Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget.
  • Monitor and control expenses to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Review contracts and procurement processes to achieve cost savings.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the hard services maintenance team, including engineers, technicians, and contractors.
  • Ensure training and development programs are in place to enhance team skills and performance.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing hard services.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, building automation, and sustainability practices.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management abilities with a focus on process optimization.
