Job Details

Job Purpose: Contribution to managing the company s project portfolio through planning, executing, and monitoring projects; preparing feasibility studies; managing procurement and contracting activities related to projects; supervising their implementation; monitoring the quality of deliverables; coordinating testing, integration, and transition-to-operation activities; and ensuring the formal closure of projects in a way that guarantees achieving their objectives and aligning them with the corporate strategy.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Policies & Processes: Full compliance with approved project management policies and quality management systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Participation in managing and monitoring the company s MCD Enterprise Projects Portfolio, ensuring its alignment with the five year strategic plan.
  • Contributing to preparing an annual project roadmap that includes priorities, sequencing, interdependencies, and timelines.
  • Coordinating the annual planning of project demand with the various business units and consolidating the requirements into an integrated project portfolio.
  • Evaluating project proposals and preparing business cases, including defining the scope, estimating costs, determining the execution approach, and identifying expected benefits.
  • Participating in evaluating and prioritizing projects and submitting recommendations based on strategic value, regulatory requirements, business impact, budget availability, and organizational capacity.
  • Ensuring that projects are fully ready contractually, financially, and operationally before the execution phase.
  • Preparing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), tender documents, Statements of Work (SOWs), and technical and financial evaluation criteria.
  • Coordinating and managing supplier selection processes and overseeing the technical and financial evaluation methodology, ensuring that qualified suppliers are chosen based on objective criteria, and preparing award recommendations based on evaluation results in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Ensuring the monitoring of project contracts, including coordinating the contract negotiation process and verifying that contracts include deliverables, timelines, service level agreements (SLAs), warranties, and project outputs.
  • Contributing to the development of supplier governance frameworks and the continuous management of supplier performance, including monitoring supplier commitments, contractual obligations, and identifying risks associated with them.
  • Managing and monitoring the implementation of projects and overseeing their various phases throughout the project life cycle, ensuring adherence to the approved scope, timelines, budgets, and the achievement of objectives and expected deliverables.
  • Analysing deviations and risks that may affect the project s scope, timeline, or deliverables, and recommending the necessary corrective actions.
  • Monitoring project quality assurance activities by establishing quality checkpoints, reviewing technical deliverables and documentation, and verifying that all project outputs meet business requirements, technical specifications, quality standards, and governance requirements before approval.
  • Ensuring the formal closure of projects after all requirements have been completed, including verifying final acceptance of deliverables, completing closure documentation, documenting lessons learned, and transferring knowledge to relevant stakeholders to ensure it is leveraged in future initiatives and projects.
  • Developing and implementing communication plans and managing communication channels between project teams and stakeholders, ensuring clarity of information, timely resolution of challenges, and enhanced collaboration to achieve project objectives.
  • Executing any tasks assigned by the direct supervisor within the scope of work.

Reports:

  • Preparing and submitting periodic reports on project performance and progress, including execution status, completion percentages, deviations from approved plans, risks and challenges, and mitigation plans supporting effective governance and informed decision making.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in engineering or computer science, or any related field.
  • Preferably holds a recognized professional certification such as PMP, PMI ACP, or an equivalent credential.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project execution, quality management, and delivery; experience in technology or digital transformation projects is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of IT project management and delivery methodologies, and the full Project Delivery Lifecycle for developing and implementing technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with technical project quality assurance practices, including conducting quality reviews to ensure compliance with approved standards and policies.
  • Experience in planning and coordinating technical and operational testing activities, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and assessing system readiness prior to launch.
  • Ability to manage and track issues and change requests, analyze their impact on project scope, timeline, and deliverable quality, including monitoring supplier performance and contractual commitments.
  • Experience in managing deployment and go live activities, operational transition plans, and ensuring system readiness before launch.

Language Skills: Proficient in English and Arabic.
