Job Details

Strategy Formulation, Implementation and Planning


§In conjunction with the CEO
and the Head of Departments, formulate and direct the implementation of the
department strategy in line with SIP Group’s vision, mission and corporate
objectives.


§Ensure that the overall People
strategy is translated into annual operational business plans and the
performance is monitored to ensure business plans are in line with the overall
strategy.


§Facilitate the development
and promotion of a unified “SIP Group Culture” across the organisation in order
to facilitate the achievement of SIP Group’s business strategy.


§Act as an advisor to SIP
Group’s senior management team on all People matters to facilitate achievement
of business goals.


Leadership


§Provide overall direction
for the effective achievement of department objectives through leadership of
the HR department and by setting of individual objectives, managing
performance, recruiting qualified staff, developing and motivating staff,
provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximise
subordinate and directorate performance.


§Collaborate with the
colleagues in the Heads of Departments community, to synergise efforts across
SIP Group for the successful achievement of strategic objectives.


§In collaboration with
functional experts, seek and establish ways to develop talent across SIP Group,
championing talent solutions
.


§Provide overall direction and guidance to
mentor, coach, motivate and challenge the direct reports and their teams
providing opportunities for growth and development.


Organisation Structure


§Facilitate the development of an optimum organisational structure for SIP
Group in consultation with the senior management team in order to ensure unity
of command and facilitate the efficient operations across all units of the
organisation.


Budgets and Plans


§Direct the preparation and
consolidation of the people department budgets , employee related cost and
monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware
of anticipated costs/revenues; areas of unsatisfactory performance are
identified and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised
upon.


Policies, Systems,Processes& Procedures


§The implementation of
departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls covering all
areas of department so that all relevant
procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality,
cost-effective service in a consistent manner.


Talent Acquisition


§The development and
management of manpower & recruitment strategies in line with SIP Group
business strategy and global best practices to meet the organisational
requirement while promoting SIP Group as an employer of choice.


§Ensure compliance of
approved manpower and recruitment strategies by the team and support the
achievement of set parameters, quality standards in the staffing process across
the organisation.


Reward Management


§The development and
management of Total Reward strategy in line with global best practices in order
to manage internal equity, market competitiveness and overall employee
satisfaction and performance while ensuring alignment with the Omani laws and
regulations.


Performance Management


§The development and
implementation of a Performance Management Strategy in line with global best
practices in order to support the establishment of a performance culture and
facilitate organisational excellence across SIP Group.


Talent Development


§the development and
implementation of a robust talent management strategy in line with global best
practices in order to train and develop world class talent with clear career
progression and succession plans to promote long term career with SIP Group.


Employee Relations


§The implementation of
Employee Relations strategies to build, maintain and enhance harmonious
relations, ensuring all employee grievances; issues are resolved effectively
and thereby fostering an effective employer –employee relationship.


Employee Engagement


§The implementation of internal
communication strategies, recognition programmes and events in collaboration
with senior leadership to ensure initiatives are in line with SIP Group’s strategic
priorities, with a focus on improving culture and employee engagement.


§The implementation of metrics to measure
performance in all areas of employee engagement and satisfaction in order to
develop action plans and objectives to continuously improve internal
satisfaction levels in line with the HR strategy.


Relationship Management


§Develop and maintain
effective business relationships with all relevant internal departments and
external entities (such as key stakeholders, service providers, government
authorities etc.) with highest standards of business ethics, whilst promptly
attending to all critical issues in-order to ensure the services required by
the organisation are delivered in the most effective manner.


Vendor Management


§Create and implement the provision of technical expertise for the
development of RFPs and RFQs relevant to the HR function; and monitor all
contractual operations related to the function to ensure cost effective and
quality services are obtained for SIP Group on all related contracts.


Change Management


§The management of change
within the assigned function through continuous improvement of systems,
processes and practices taking into account ‘international leading standards’
and changes in the business environment.


§Act as a
change agent and develop, seek approval and direct the implementation of a
comprehensive change management system to support effective communication and
the smooth adoption and acceptance of new processes by the employees across the
organisation whilst ensuring adherence to statutory standards
.


§Lead the review, analysis
and adoption of best market practices for HR within the logistics and ports
authorities by visiting conferences, creating networks within the sectors in
the local and international market and drive change within SIP Group to
implement best in class HR initiatives to support organisational development.


Quality, Health, Safety, & Environment


§The compliance of all
relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management policies,
procedures and controls across the function to guarantee employee safety,
legislative compliance, delivery of high quality pr
