Job Purpose:The Manager - Payment Operations manages the end-to-end fund transfers and treasury deals management to ensure that processes are complied with the Bank’s policies and procedures, regulator’s requirements, and AML/CFT policy.
Key Accountabilities:Performs inward and outward international and local fund transfers. Verifies the daily operations reports on local and international fund transfers and all other related reports required by management and regulators. Performs the reconciliation of CBO, Nostro, and Vostro accounts to ensure that daily operations are correct and accurate. Ensures that the related processes comply with the regulator’s requirements and AML/CFT policy. Manages treasury deals for all FX/MM and ensures they allay within the routing system before final release. Ensures all payments for FX and MM deals are correctly paid through SWIFT and RTGS payments. Provides excellent responses to any inquiries from correspondent banks in a timely manner. Verifies, validates, and processes domestic and international outward and inward payments, information, and supporting references from branches to ensure all required fields are completed accurately following the Bank’s policies and procedures. Monitors and manages instant payments for all incoming and outgoing transactions to comply with internal policies and procedures. Manage day to day operations of Direct Debit, PPS and ECC transactions in line with regulatory and internal requirements. Ensure timely processing, settlement, and daily reconciliation of all related accounts and payment flows. Monitor mandate lifecycle (creation, amendment, cancellation, expiry) and ensure correct system behavior. Act as the business point of contact for operational issues, coordinating with IT, vendors, and Central Bank as required. Ensures the reconciliation of daily transactions at End of Day (EOD) with no errors and provides fast solutions regarding remittance operations by ensuring compliance and efficiency. Shares responsibility for improving Treasury and Payment operational processes. Ensures compliance with all relevant banking regulations and CBO policies. Supports availability for any UAT (User Acceptance Testing) conduction. Leads the project related to process improvement specifically pertaining to the job area under the supervision of the line manager. Manages Payments & Treasury Operations framework with the required quantitative and qualitative deliveries.

Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. A minimum of 6 years of experience in Payment Operations within a banking environment. A working understanding of Payment Operation policies and CBO regulations. Proven record of executing Payment Operations activities within a Bank’s Operations. Knowledge of CBO and other regulations.
