We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Supervisor to join our team and support the efficient and ethical procurement of goods and services across the hotel. As a Purchasing Supervisor, you will support the Purchasing Manager in ensuring smooth purchasing operations while maintaining compliance with IHG policies and local regulations.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Supervising daily purchasing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement
- Sourcing suppliers in line with approved vendor lists and IHG procurement standards
- Preparing and reviewing purchase orders, quotations, and contracts
- Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with stores and departments to avoid shortages or overstocking
- Ensuring compliance with IHG policies, audit requirements, and ethical sourcing standards
- Supporting cost control initiatives and identifying opportunities for savings
- Maintaining accurate purchasing records and reports
- Coordinating with Finance, F&B, Engineering, and Operations teams
What do we need from you?
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within a hotel or hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, especially F&B and operational supplies
- Must be able to communicate effectively in both English and Arabic
- Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in purchasing systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
