Service Status:
Resident (5 days per week) Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Telecom Specialist to join our client Commissioning and Start-up team. This role is critical in ensuring the completeness and operational readiness of instrumentation systems (including analysers, metering and tank gauging) and telecom systems during commissioning and start-up phases.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and validate commissioning and start-up documentation for instrumentation and telecom systems.
  • Monitor contractor activities, including FATs and SATs, ensuring compliance with specifications and procedures.
  • Witness commissioning activities for instrumentation, telecom, tank gauging and berthing-aid systems.
  • Support loop checking and commissioning phases for ICSS and package control systems.
  • Validate punch list clearance and ensure proper vendor mobilization for start-up.
  • Ensure preservation and maintenance of equipment during and after commissioning.
  • Facilitate smooth handover to operations, including training and feedback.
  • Maintain updated “as commissioned” documentation and certification of analysers.
HSE & Compliance:
  • Demonstrate exemplary HSE behaviour and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ensure emergency telecom systems are operational and manage telecoms during crisis situations.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Instrumentation and/or Telecom).
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in Oil & Gas, with at least 10 years in similar roles.
  • Proven experience in commissioning and operation stages of large onshore and LNG projects.
  • Strong knowledge of telecom and instrumentation activities, commissioning, and start-up processes.
