Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our growth efforts and expand our portfolio in the building construction sector. This individual will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and enhancing Arkan-Majan International’s market presence in Oman and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Growth and Strategy
Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve company growth targets.
Identify new markets, trends, and project opportunities within the construction industry.
Drive the company’s expansion into infrastructure, residential, industrial, and commercial projects.
- Client Relationship Management
Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, government entities, consultants, and developers.
Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Address client concerns promptly to maintain a high level of satisfaction.
- Market Research and Competitive Analysis
Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging opportunities.
Monitor competitor activities and recommend strategies to enhance the company’s competitive edge.
- Sales and Tender Management
Prepare proposals, presentations, and tender submissions for key projects.
Lead the bidding process from identification to award stage.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between business goals and project execution.
- Brand Positioning and Networking
Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.
Promote the company’s brand and reputation as a leading construction firm.
Build a network of partners and alliances to foster business development.
- Reporting and Performance Management
Track and report business development metrics to the General Manager and executive team.
Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field (MBA is an advantage).
8+ years of experience in business development, sales, or project management within the construction industry.
Strong network within Oman’s construction and industrial sectors.
Proven track record of securing large-scale projects and meeting business targets.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in tender management and business proposal writing.
Knowledge of local regulations, permits, and construction standards.
Key Skills and Competencies
Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities.
Leadership and team management experience.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with CRM tools and project management software.
Fluency in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus).
