Assistant Restaurant Manager

Our client is a new five-star resort with multiple F&B outlets, recognized globally as a hospitality leader for its legendary service, world-class spa retreats, and distinct dining concept is currently seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join their team.

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you are responsible for the operational, and financial aspects of the restaurant operation, and work closely with the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the overall organization, ensuring the implementation and consistency of the restaurant standards.

Requirements:

  • A hospitality degree from a recognized hospitality school.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Restaurant Supervisor or 1 year as an Assistant Restaurant Manager in an international hotel chain or well-established restaurant chain.
  • Knowledge of restaurant and F&B procedures, setup, and service.
  • Very good command of written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to multitask.
  • Positive outlook and outgoing personality.
  • Previous working experience in the Middle East is a plus.
  • Additional European language is preferred.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the restaurant team has good knowledge of food and beverage and take responsibility for the delivery of this knowledge to the guest.
  • Ensure that all staff arrive for and finish shifts at the correct time.
  • Develop strategies to ensure staff is correctly managed and staff problems can be remedied.
  • Ensure that tables are arranged and set up accordingly.
  • Ensure that service stations are correctly arranged and set up.
  • Ensure that all staff are familiar with correct billing procedures.
  • Arrange daily meetings for staff/attend daily meetings.
  • Attend all training sessions.
  • Ensure up-to-date training materials are circulated to relevant staff.
  • Ensure small groups of VIP guests are catered for according to the brand standards.
  • Ensure correct quality and presentation of all dishes and drinks is being communicated to staff.
  • Conduct and attend all meetings in the absence of managers.
  • Ensuring that the outlet operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining standards. in terms of food, service, health & safety, and reputation.
  • Supervise F&B service by directing and guiding his/her colleagues
  • Ensure that the restaurant area is adequately staffed during his/her shift and notify his/her superior of any shortages in line with budgeted targets.
