Job Title: Project Director
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Construction Project Director to lead and oversee a prestigious project. The successful candidate will be reporting to the project Board of Directors and will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of the project from inception to completion. This is a pivotal role that requires exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of construction processes with focus on safety, quality, delivery and cost.
Duties & Responsibilities/Deliverables:
• Project Leadership and Strategy:
o Set the overall strategic direction for the design and build project, aligning it with the organization's objectives and the client's vision.
o Establish project goals, performance indicators, and key milestones, providing clear guidance to the project team.
• Health and Safety Leadership:
o Enforce and promote strict adherence to health and safety regulations, creating a culture of safety awareness among project personnel.
o Implement safety protocols, conduct safety training, and ensure that the construction site remains hazard-free
• Comprehensive Planning and Execution:
o Develop detailed project plans encompassing all phases, from conceptualization to handover, ensuring a systematic approach to project delivery.
o Oversee the execution of the project plan, closely monitoring progress and making timely adjustments to mitigate potential delays or issues.
• Design and Engineering Coordination:
o Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and engineers to ensure that the project's design elements are seamlessly integrated into the construction process.
o Facilitate interdisciplinary communication and decision-making to maintain design integrity and align with project objectives.
• Resource Allocation and Management:
o Allocate project resources effectively, including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, to optimize project efficiency and meet deadlines.
o Implement resource management strategies to minimize wastage and enhance productivity.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
o Identify and evaluate potential risks associated with the project, developing comprehensive risk assessment strategies to ensure proactive mitigation.
o Regularly review risk factors and implement contingency plans to maintain project progress.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance:
o Implement and oversee stringent quality control processes to ensure that construction activities adhere to established quality standards and specifications.
o Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify the quality of workmanship and materials.
• Contract Negotiation and Management:
o Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure the best terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
o Manage contractual relationships, monitor performance, and enforce contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Financial Oversight:
o Monitor project budgets, tracking expenses and costs to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
o Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting financial performance and potential variances.
• Client Communication and Satisfaction:
o Maintain open and transparent communication with the client, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and milestones.
o Address client concerns promptly and work collaboratively to ensure their satisfaction throughout the project.

Education:
• Master’s Degree in Construction or Engineering or related area
• Minimum 20 years’ proven work experience
