Role Overview

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding their footprint in the marine fuel supply market. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong business acumen, adept at identifying new business opportunities and building lasting relationships with clients, stakeholders, and competitors. In addition, you will mentor and develop internal teams, leading the restructuring of business processes to ensure sustained success and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to enhance company growth and profitability.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and competitors.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research, analyzing industry trends and customer needs to shape business strategies.
  • Process Optimization: Lead the development and restructuring of internal business processes for operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and coach team members, fostering a leadership-driven and accountable culture.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior management and department heads to align strategies and share insights.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor KPIs to track business development efforts and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Budget Management: Manage budgets for business development activities, ensuring optimal resource allocation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or management roles.
  • Previous experience in marine fuels or oil & gas is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement growth strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in coaching and mentoring teams.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Experience in business restructuring and organizational development is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
