Assistant Operations Manager (F&B)

This position involves overseeing the smooth operation of the F&B services, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing staff, and contributing to the achievement of operational goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in F&B management, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.


Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight:

  • Oversee daily operations of all F&B outlets, ensuring high standards of service and quality are consistently met.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and storage to minimize waste and control costs.

Staff Leadership and Development:

  • Recruit, train, and manage F&B staff, including setting performance standards and conducting evaluations.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment through effective communication and team-building initiatives.
  • Address and resolve employee issues, conflicts, and disciplinary matters as necessary.

Guest Service:

  • Ensure high standards of guest service and satisfaction are consistently met.
  • Handle guest complaints and feedback in a professional and effective manner.
  • Implement and monitor service procedures to enhance guest experiences.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the F&B budget, including monitoring expenses, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability.
  • Analyze financial performance and prepare regular reports on sales, costs, and other key metrics.
  • Implement strategies to increase revenue and optimize financial performance.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.
  • Implement and oversee proper handling and storage of food and beverages.

Strategic Planning and Implementation:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategies for operational improvements and growth.
  • Identify market trends and opportunities to enhance the F&B offerings and guest experience.

Vendor and Supply Chain Management:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality products.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance to achieve favorable terms and pricing.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Provide regular reports on operational performance, including sales, guest feedback, and staff performance.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the F&B industry.
  • Strong understanding of F&B operations, including inventory management and cost control.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and systems (e.g., POS systems, scheduling tools).
