  • The Market Manager on our tobacco business is a dedicated individual, ultimately responsible for the effective management of nightlife and retail consumer engagement programs in-market.
  • They are committed to the on-going development of the market and team, as well as the continuous pursuit of progression, innovation, and the excellence of each program.
  • The Market Manager in this role must be comfortable working with the promotions and marketing of tobacco products.

Organizational Purpose

  • Build a team of top quality field agents to best represent client’s brands
  • Provide best in class training on brands, programs, skills, policies, regulations, and responsible marketing
  • Develop and evaluate venue lists for adult tobacco consumer engagements
  • Sell-in consumer engagements to maximize interactions and reach
  • Provide field agents with on-going guidance, direction, and support
  • Measure and evaluate individual and team performance
  • Track results to ensure KPI deliverables are achievedServe as point-of-contact for regional and local stakeholders
  • Manage and coordinate marketing materials, equipment, inventory
  • Ensure accurate reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner
  • Provide insightful reporting and feedback through weekly, monthly, and quarterly outputs
  • Participate in an online channel to drive insightful market research and trend reports
  • Ensure all market activity is in compliance with regulations and promotional code
  • Exercise sound financial practices
  • Oversee various administrative functions

Financial Responsibility

  • Budget, manage, track, and reconcile program budgets and expenses
  • Track and manage monthly billing
  • Oversee staff payroll and expenses
  • Manage all business expenses

Management Responsibility

  • Reports to Regional DirectorWorks with local or regional client stakeholders
  • Direct reports - Assistant Market Manager and field agents

Position Requirements

  • 3+ Years prior experience in market / event management is required
  • Experience in highly regulated industry is preferred
  • Strong budget management skills
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Excellent presentation and effective training experience
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of market geography and familiarity of nightlife / venue universe
  • Knowledge or experience in tobacco industry is a plus
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
