Role Statement
- The Business Finance Manager will play a critical role in providing financial insights, analysis, and advisory services to various business units within the bank.
- This role is responsible for the review, development, and enhancement of business performance management reports.
- The position will be responsible for driving the financial performance and growth of business segments.
- He will act as a key advisor to business units, providing market insights, supporting new product launches, and ensuring campaign costs generates enhanced revenues
- Regular presentations to the Business and Committees on improving /guiding business performance
Principal Responsibilities
Performance Reporting & Analysis:
- Provide comprehensive financial reports to business divisions, focusing on detailed performance measurement and variance analysis.
- Develop, review, and enhance business segment reports, ensuring accuracy and relevance for decision-making.
- Continuously improve performance management reports, including campaign reports, DSA performance, product profitability, cards & ADCs performance, branch performance, and other business MIS.
Business Support & Advisory:
- Review and evaluate new products, proposals, and campaigns from business units to provide strategic financial support for implementation.
- Act as an advisor to business units, offering insights to drive growth and improve financial performance.
- Provide market insights and analysis, comparing products and customer segments with industry benchmarks to identify opportunities and risks.
Revenue Growth & Cost Control:
- Engage continuously with business units to identify revenue growth opportunities, focus areas for improvement, and cost control strategies.
- Generate ideas and strategies for Profit & Loss (P&L) growth, ensuring alignment with the bank’s overall financial objectives.
Advisory Role:
- Serve as a financial advisor to business units and branches, guiding them on financial matters to enhance their decision-making capabilities.
- Support business units in identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and setting targets that align with the bank’s financial goals.
Strategic
- Regular presentations to the Business and Committees on improving /guiding business performance
Candidate Specifications
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, with an additional professional qualification or Master’s degree.
- Minimum of 5-6 years of relevant experience in the finance department or business finance function of a banking institution
