Plant Manager

As a Plant Manager in Muscat, Oman for a paper product company, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the manufacturing plant. Your role will involve managing the day-to-day operations to ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality standards and adhering to safety regulations. You will also be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements in production processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Additionally, you will ensure that all operations comply with industry regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols.

As the Plant Manager, you will have the responsibility for effective planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing, organizing, and decision-making to attain desirable profit-making results for the organization. You will also have profit and loss (P&L) responsibility, managing both the revenue and cost elements of the company's income statement. Your ultimate goal will be to achieve business goals aligned with the company's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the operations, performance, and optimization of processes to drive efficiency.
  2. Manage day-to-day operations to ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality standards and adhering to safety regulations.
  3. Identify and implement improvements in production processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  4. Ensure that all operations comply with industry regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols.
  5. Manage and allocate factory resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
  6. Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and waste elimination.
  7. Comply with the written policies, standards, rules, and regulations of the company and the government of Oman.

Preferred Candidates:

  1. Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  2. 5-8 years of experience in factory management, preferably in the packaging or paper products industry.
  3. Experience in the paper products industry is a must.
