Contract Manager (Oil & Gas)

Responsibilities:


  • Attend weekly, monthly Operational & HSE meetings with the Company Representatives and shall ensure that technical matters on the work are properly addressed.
  • Monthly reporting
  • Technical and financial control of the work.
  • Supervision of Personnel on assigned work.
  • Ensuring that the relevant Specifications, Procedures and Drawings are available for Personnel.
  • Attendance at Contractor's progress meetings or delegation to assigned
  • Ensuring that Inspection and QCS matters are properly addressed at such meetings.
  • Ensure regular and effective communication between his management team and his workforce during the contract period.
  • Initiate, discuss improvement proposals with Company on regular basis.
  • Report verification findings to Company on a monthly basis, immediately basis depending on seriousness of findings. E.g. an increased risk to HSE or potential cost impact to Company.
  • Report to Company outcome of competence assessments for personnel, as and when requested by the Company.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of Contractor's ASNT Written Practices, and for proper qualification, training, examination, (re-) certification, etc. of all ASNT qualified NDT personnel of the Contractor.
  • Train and Certify Omanis Level l & Level 2 working under the contract


Requirements:


  • BSc or HND in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, metallurgy or material science. Relevant experience in a similar position may be accepted with. appropriate qualifications in inspection and NDE
  • Evidence of previous training or courses in NDT techniques & corrosion principles
  • Minimum 10 years in oil & gas industry.
  • Minimum 5 years in managing Maintenance Inspection & NDT Contracts.
  • Substantial experience in managing a similar operation and technical knowledge of Maintenance Inspection and NDT techniques.
  • Shall be fully able to discuss technical inspection matters with the Company REPRESENTATIVE
  • Valid ASNT Level III qualification in UT, RT, MPI, DPI and/or VT, as required per SNT-TC-1A 1992 for the applicable ASNT Written Practices and ASNT- PERSONNEL qualifications.
  • Minimum 10 years in oil & gas industry.
  • Minimum 5 years in Maintenance Inspection & NDT.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of ASNT Written Practices, conducting training, Maintenance Inspection & NDT techniques, and corrosion principles.
  • Experience on internal quality auditing.
  • Good communication & training skills.
