The project:
The programme includes the development of a state-of-the-art port facility with the capacity to process millions of tonnes of bulk cargo annually, incorporating marine infrastructure, landside logistics, transportation links, utilities, and operational facilities. Scheduled for completion later this decade, the project represents one of the region's most significant port and industrial infrastructure investments.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a complex, large-scale development that will play a pivotal role in supporting economic diversification, industrial growth, and global supply chain connectivity. Candidates will have the chance to work alongside multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment, helping to shape a strategic piece of infrastructure with long-term regional impact.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Act as the PMC’s on-site representative with full authority for delivery and coordination.
- Lead day-to-day supervision, ensuring works meet contract, design, and technical standards.
- Manage site teams to ensure effective coverage, quality assurance and progress monitoring.
- Coordinate contractors, stakeholders, and local authorities to maintain programme alignment.
- Chair progress meetings and provide clear, timely reporting and communications.
- Oversee site instructions, contractual correspondence, and interface with the contract specialist.
- Monitor performance, resolve technical and commercial issues, and drive timely delivery.
- Manage cost control, budgeting, certifications, and payment recommendations.
- Lead completion, handover, and defect liability processes, including final accounts and retention release.
- Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You’ll need to have:
- Registered engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- 20+ years’ experience, including 10+ years in marine works (jetties, breakwaters, port construction).
- Experience in a similar role on at least three port projects valued at USD 100M+.
- Strong track record in site-based delivery, supervision and contract compliance.
- Proven consultancy background.
- Effective communicator with analytical capability and ability to engage, influence and build trusted stakeholder relationships.
