Roles & Responsibilities
Deliver undergraduate
and postgraduate lectures in Quantity Surveying and Cost Management
Develop and lead
curriculum design, review, and enhancement aligned with industry and
accreditation requirements
Supervise
undergraduate and postgraduate student projects and research
Conduct and publish
high-quality research in relevant fields
Contribute to
academic leadership, program development, and quality assurance processes
Mentor junior faculty
members and support academic development initiatives
Establish and
maintain strong links with industry and professional bodies
Participate in
institutional committees and academic governance.
Desired Candidate Profile
For Assistant
Professor:
- PhD in Quantity Surveying / Construction
Management / Construction Economics / Cost Engineering / Civil Engineering
(QS specialization)
- Bachelor s and Master s degrees in a relevant discipline
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience
- Evidence of research and publications
- Proficiency in quantity take-off and cost
estimation software
- Professional membership with the Royal
Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) /
For Associate
Professor:
- PhD in a relevant field (as above)
- Minimum 8 10 years of academic experience.
- Strong record of research publications in
reputable journals
- Demonstrated academic leadership (program
coordination, curriculum leadership, etc.)
- Experience in supervising postgraduate
research
- Professional membership with the Royal
Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
Preferred
Qualifications
- Experience in outcome-based education (OBE)
and accreditation frameworks
- Strong research funding or project experience
- Active engagement with industry and
consultancy work
- Excellent communication, leadership, and
teamwork skills
