Job Title: Divisional Manager – Archimedes Marine Engg & Contracting LLC (AMEC)

Company Overview:
The Archimedes Marine Engineering Company (AMEC), a part of the KR Marine vertical, focuses on Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of fishing harbors, jetties, marinas, and port infrastructure across Oman. Briefly,
Position Overview: The Divisional Manager (DM) will assist in managing and monitoring the overall construction management, financial performance of the projects, and timely delivery of the project. The role requires a technically proficient and business-oriented Marine or coastal engineering professional capable of leading multidisciplinary teams, ensuring project excellence, and driving profitability while upholding safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Profit & Loss Management:
Manage divisional budgets, financial targets, and profitability in alignment with organizational goals.
Monitor cost control, pricing strategies, and cash flow performance across projects.
Ensure effective allocation of resources and optimization of operational efficiency.
Support business development initiatives, tendering and revenue growth plan through new opportunities.
2. Leadership and Project Management
Lead, supervise and assist project managers, engineers, and technical teams across multiple marine construction projects.
Oversee end-to-end project execution — from planning and procurement to delivery and handover.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Drive operational excellence through structured planning, monitoring, and performance evaluation.
3. Strategic Planning and Execution
Assist in developing and implementing strategic growth plans for the division.
Identify emerging markets, new technologies, and service opportunities in the marine infrastructure sectors.
Support bid strategy, tender preparation, and negotiation for major projects.
Align divisional goals with KR’s long-term business objectives.
4. Departmental Oversight and Governance
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and statutory regulations.
Oversee the implementation of quality management, HSE systems, and compliance frameworks.
Monitor manpower deployment, equipment utilization, and subcontractor performance.
Promote a culture of safety, integrity, and teamwork across all operational levels.
5. Reporting, Stakeholder Management, and Communication
Provide timely and accurate management reports on operational, financial, and project performance.
Coordinate with internal departments (Finance, HR, Procurement, etc.) for smooth divisional functioning.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, classification societies, and government agencies.
Represent the division in client meetings, project reviews, and management discussions.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s Degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in Marine infrastructure projects.
Having experience as Project Manager for minimum of 2 Breakwater projects each with the value of USD 30.0M.
Minimum 5 years of experience with corporate office managing the financial aspects of the the projects as well as the company.
Proven experience in managing large-scale marine projects and multidisciplinary teams.
Sound understanding of project costing, contract management, and financial acumen including P&L of the projects as well as company.
Familiarity with Omani and GCC marine project standards and regulatory requirements.
Having knowledge on managing Marine assets including offshore vessel’s registration, classification and Insurance requirements and compliance.
