Job Description:

We are seeking experienced and hardworking Shuttering Carpenters to join our team for upcoming large-scale construction projects. The successful candidates will be responsible for setting up formwork and shuttering structures to ensure the precise pouring of concrete for various structural elements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Measuring, cutting, and assembling timber, plywood, or metal formwork.
  • Installing props, braces, and shoring to support formwork during concrete pours.
  • Aligning and leveling formwork to ensure structural accuracy.
  • Dismantling shuttering safely after concrete has cured and preparing materials for reuse.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workspace in compliance with site safety standards.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter in residential or commercial construction (Gulf Experience Prefered).
  • Ability to work accurately with various shuttering systems (e.g., Peri, Doka, or traditional timber).
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work 10-hour shifts.
  • Basic understanding of construction safety protocols.
  • Valid passport (required for international processing).


Salary and Benefits Package:

  • Gross Salary: OMR 120 to 150 per month.
  • Allowances: Food, Accommodation, and Transportation are fully provided by the company at no cost to the employee.
  • Visa Charges: 100% Free (Provided by the company).
  • Duty Hours: 10 hours per day.
  • Weekly Holiday: 1 day off per week.
  • Leave Policy: 2 months of paid holiday upon completion of a 2-year contract.
  • Travel: A return air ticket to major cities in India is provided every 2 years.
  • Legal Protections: All other terms and conditions are strictly governed as per Omani Labor Laws.

Skills

Technical Skills:

  • Formwork Systems: Proficiency in assembling various systems, including traditional timber shuttering and modern modular systems (such as Doka or Peri).
  • Measurement Accuracy: Expert use of measuring tapes, spirit levels, plumb bobs, and laser levels to ensure structures are perfectly vertical and horizontal.
  • Tool Proficiency: Skill in operating hand and power tools, including circular saws, drills, grinders, and hammers, with a focus on safety and precision.
  • Material Knowledge: Understanding the properties of different materials like plywood, timber, and steel, and how they react under the pressure of wet concrete.


Functional & Construction Skills:

  • Fixing & Bracing: Knowledge of how to properly install tie-rods, clamps, and props to prevent formwork "bulging" or bursting during the concrete pour.
  • Joint Sealing: Ensuring all joints are tight and watertight to prevent the leakage of cement grout (slurry).
  • Striking (Dismantling): Ability to safely remove formwork after the concrete has set without damaging the newly formed edges or surfaces.


Physical & Professional Skills:

  • Physical Stamina: Capacity to perform heavy lifting, climbing, and standing for the duration of a 10-hour shift in outdoor environments.
  • Safety Consciousness: Strict adherence to site safety rules, including working at heights and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Teamwork: Ability to coordinate effectively with steel fixers, concrete pourers, and site supervisors to maintain the project timeline.
  • Basic Arithmetic: Ability to perform quick on-site calculations for material cutting and spacing.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Experience: Minimum 2–5 years in high-rise buildings, bridges, or industrial infrastructure (Gulf Experience Preffered).
